Did xQc leave Canada again? Kick streamer addresses rumors about Las Vegas move: 'The cost for happiness is ridiculous'
LAS VEGAS, USA: Felix 'xQc' Lengyel responded to the controversy around his recent relocation to Las Vegas, saying the value he places on happiness might seem "ridiculous" to some.
In the last few years, xQc has become accustomed to a rather nomadic existence. His new assertion underscores the personal significance of his decision to make the move.
xQc's constant shifts have been spurred by a variety of reasons, ranging from security concerns due to unsettling incidents such as squatting and break-ins at his different residences to practical matters like the need to return to Canada temporarily for visa renewal purposes.
'The cost for happiness is ridiculous'
xQc's journey has taken him from the state of Texas to the bustling streets of Las Vegas. His most recent residence had been shared with fellow content creators, including Pokemane.
However, this cohabitation was not without its share of tensions, with xQc reportedly "overstaying" his welcome, leading to some friction and drama.
Seeking a fresh start and a new place to call home, xQc's turned his gaze on Vegas. The strategic relocation on August 8 was intended to provide him with a different environment and perspective, at least for the foreseeable future.
After a joint stream, xQc expressed his gratitude to Adin Ross for making him genuinely happy for the first time in a while. But after he shared this on Twitter/X, he faced more negative comments about his move to Vegas and spending time with Adin.
However, xQc didn't let this slide and posted another tweet to address the backlash, reflecting on how pursuing happiness often comes with a price.
He noted his frustration about the "pushback" he receives whenever he tries to make things better for himself. The streamer also mentioned that he announced his move to Vegas to take a break from it all, but was taken aback by the mixed reactions.
The COST for happiness is ridiculous. Anything I do that furthers me or gets me in a place that isnโt as dark as it usually is, I get major pushback from every angle. I posted that I was moving to Vegas for a while yesterday to escape it all. Do you see the response? ๐ตโ๐ซ

'Stop leaking your life online'
A number of fans shared their doubts about the move, pointing out potential issues like lack of privacy and the presence of people seeking attention ("clout chasers"). This is on top of the fact that xQc has openly discussed his past struggle with gambling addiction.
The criticism aimed at xQc doesn't stop there. He faced backlash for his recent behavior too, with some slamming him for taking personal jabs at Ethan Klein during their 'debate' about reaction content.
Additionally, his former partner, Adept, didn't mince words either, calling the entire situation "embarrassing."
One user wrote, "Stop leaking your life online and see the peace it brings you," while another said, "You know it's getting real when he doesn't post in caps."
Someone else noted, "I think stepping away from Socials for a bit might give your mind some ease No eyes on you if you don't let there be." A tweet read, "I highly recommend the book "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F**k". Might really help you in situations like this."
"I feel so sad watching the hate youโre getting. You have a lot of people who support you. Stay as positive as you can," another wrote.
