GMA's Robin Roberts finally reveals her wedding date as she prepares for her 'big day' in full swing
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ star Robin Roberts has finally revealed that she will be getting married to long-time partner Amber Laign in “one week” which puts the wedding date approximately on September 8, 2023.
The 62-year-old finally ended all the speculations and mystery surrounding her wedding date when she disclosed the information on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The TV personality bid farewell to her co-hosts earlier this week, stepping away from the 'GMA' studio desk to prepare to walk down the aisle.
Roberts and Amber have been together for 18 years and decided to take their relationship to the next level earlier this year in January 2023.

On Friday, September 1, Roberts took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a sweet message that finally revealed all that fans had been waiting for.
"T-Minus 1 week until the big day… of course still have time to say Rabbit Rabbit," the GMA star wrote, a term she uses on the first day of every new month.
She then added, "Wishing all blessings this month and always.” This sets Roberts’ marriage for next Friday, September 8, 2023.

Up until Roberts revealed the date, the detail had been discussed over and over by fans who did their best to speculate but failed.
At times, Roberts’ co-hosts Deborah Roberts and Michael Strahan accidentally revealed the date but none were closer to what Roberts just disclosed.
After learning about, Roberts’ wedding date, fans jumped in excitement to congratulate her again. Co-host Gio Benitez also hopped on to wish Roberts. He wrote, “The countdown is officially ON.”
Although Benitez did give Roberts a touching farewell as he advised her to, “Laugh together all the time, enjoy that moment together and be present together.”

The morning show host Roberts was earlier given an on-air bachelorette but recently received a sweet and short farewell from co-host Rebecca Jarvis and Benitez.
In the farewell, Benitez showed Roberts a clip from friends and family, wishing and advising Roberts before her big day.
Jarvis also imparted her marriage wisdom and asked Roberts to “just be yourself” while Lara Spencer who was out on an assignment joined in through video and told Roberts to “don’t forget to eat” on her wedding day.
Roberts and Laign will finally be tying the knot on September 8, 2023, after spending almost two decades together.
