Did Matthew Perry and Lauren Graham ever date? Late 'Friends' star once called actress 'one of his favorite' people
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Following the death of the 'Friends' star Matthew Perry, many are curious whether the late actor was ever in a romantic relationship with actress Lauren Graham. The 'Gilmore Girls' actress was often linked with Perry in 2003.
However, two of them never gave any official confirmation about their relationship status, said the New York Post.
In her 2016 memoir 'Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls', Graham wrote, "He became my friend who I almost but never exactly dated."
Both co-starred in the 2008 movie 'Birds of America' and then reunited for an episode of Perry's show, 'The Odd Couple'.
The 56-year-old actress has not yet spoken about Perry's untimely passing. He was found unresponsive in a hot tub in his Los Angeles home on October 28 due to apparent drowning.

Along with the 'Friends' cast, Graham was one of the few people Perry mentioned in his 2022 memoir, 'Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing'. The late actor included a photo of Graham resting her head on his shoulder with the caption, "Me and the beautiful Lauren Graham."
During 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' in 2008, the host playfully teased Graham about the dating gossip surrounding Perry, to which the actress replied, "You always make fun of me for not going out with him, and I keep telling you he's just my friend."
Mentioning him in her memoir, the 'Parenthood' alum wrote, "The only bright spot, dude-wise, was at an event where I met Matthew Perry."
On the day of Perry's memoir release, she took to X to congratulate him, writing, "Happy happy pub day, @MatthewPerry! xL."

Lauren Graham was Matthew Perry's 'close friend'
During a Q & A session for 'The Odd Couple', Perry was full of praises directed toward the actress.
"She's one of my favorite people," said the 'Friends' alum, "We have great chemistry when working together, and it's fun to work with a close friend," per HITC.
Perry and Graham never ended up together despite the widespread speculations, and both dated other people over the years. Perry went on dating high-profile actresses like Julia Roberts and Lizzy Caplan.
Graham was in a committed relationship with her 'Parenthood' co-star Peter Krause for 11 years until they went their separate ways in 2021.
