Amber Heard was 'emaciated' towards end of marriage with Depp, sister Whitney Henriquez reveals
Amber Heard's sister has testified in Fairfax County Circuit Court, Virginia about her sister's altercation with actor Johnny Depp in March 2015. Whitney Henriquez also told the court that Heard wasn't sleeping well, and became physically unwell after she got engaged to Depp.
According to Henriquez, Heard allegedly woke her up in the middle of one night at Depp's LA home and told her, "Can you believe he's cheating on me?" Henriquez then walked into the kitchen to talk with Depp. She told the court, “I can tell he’s clearly drunk and he has a bottle of alcohol in front of him as well.” “He’s talking to me about how Amber found these text messages between him and a woman... and then he starts saying that this woman was meaningless, it wasn’t anything special, she’s nothing special but then he immediately shifted to ‘Amber pushed me. Amber made me do it. Of course, I’m cheating on her,'” she added.

According to Henriquez, this was when Heard emerged and began yelling expletives at Depp. “She was calling him old and fat. It was a fight. They were saying really nasty things to one another,” she explained. Henriquez stated she then left the kitchen to walk upstairs with Heard and Depp's nurse, Debbie Lloyd. Apparently, Depp then hurled a Red Bull can at Lloyd's back, which the nurse didn't appear to notice. “I’m at the top of the stairs, with my back to the stairs, and that’s when Johnny runs up the stairs. He comes up behind me and strikes me in the back...he hits me in the back, I hear Amber yell, ‘don’t hit my f****** sister,’” she explained. Henriquez claimed Heard then struck Depp.
Heard had earlier confirmed hitting Depp during the altercation in her testimony, claiming she was afraid he might kill her sister or cause her to fall down the steps. Depp has stated that he did not throw the can and that he did not strike Heard. Henriquez claimed she overheard Depp shouting and destroying stuff later. Her sister's cloth racks had been toppled, and her wardrobe had been damaged, she stated.
Henriquez alleged Depp then requested her to sign a non-disclosure agreement. “It’s basically, my understanding is, a contract to keep things private. To keep your mouth shut, essentially,” she remarked. Henriquez also testified that Depp wrongly accused her of leaking material to the press when she was residing in a penthouse owned by Depp. She refuted the charge, claiming she had not signed the contract, and she moved out shortly after.

Henriquez had previously testified that her family adored Depp initially, but that Heard grew ‘physically sick’ over time. She described Heard as a “happy, bright, fun, loving thing. Always surrounded by friends. And it was just a progression...so slow, in hindsight, it’s like watching a slow-motion gunshot.” Heard wasn't sleeping well and wasn't as ‘gregarious’ as she used to be at the end of her relationship with Depp, according to her sister. Henriquez added, “She was so physically unwell. She really weighed like 100 pounds soaking wet. She was emaciated, she wasn’t sleeping...she just looked different.”
Whitney Henriquez was invited to testify in the widely publicized defamation lawsuit by Heard's attorneys. According to Henriquez, Depp made light comments about Heard's clothing and looks at first, but gradually became more dominating. The control apparently extended to Heard's working life, starting with remarks on what work was detrimental to her career and growth. “And then suddenly he has a problem with her taking any sort of job or any sort of audition...it was another fight. He would often say things like, ‘I don’t even understand why she needs to work. I’ll take care of her, I’ll take care of you.’ It was one of those things that he was, in the end, vehemently against her working at all,” Henriquez explained.
