Amber Heard has admitted to punching her former husband Johnny Depp to defend her sister after recollecting what the actor had done to his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss, according to The Guardian. Heard reportedly recalled the incident from March 2015 at the high court in London while giving evidence for a second day.

Heard has reportedly stated that she punched Depp to protect her younger sister Whitney. She has also claimed that his treatment of Moss triggered her to strike Depp. “I did strike Johnny that day, in defense of my sister.” Explaining that Whitney was standing at the top of a staircase in hers and Depp’s Los Angeles penthouse she further added, “I had heard that he had pushed a former girlfriend, I think it was Kate Moss, down the stairs. And I thought of that at the moment and I reacted in defense of her [Whitney].”

The actress’s latest statement has irked many, as she has been called out on multiple occasions for allegedly making false accusations against Depp. Internet users and fans of both actors quickly took to Twitter to react to Heard’s recent revelation, which has evidently upset a lot of them.

Within no time ‘Aquaman 2’ started to trend on Twitter as fans began wondering if Heard would be fired from the movie after admitting to attacking Depp, while many demanded her to be “fired” from the superhero movie franchises. One fan wrote, “She might not be in aquaman 2 for false accusations on Johnny Depp. Another added, “So... Aquaman 2 is trending (at least in the US) Does that mean Amber Heard is finally fired after she admitted hitting her husband and all the lies she spread the past few years?”

Meanwhile, a few disappointed fans asserted that Heard should be fired from 'Aquaman 2' following all the legal drama she has gotten herself embroiled in, especially after her claims about punching Depp. “Haven't seen Aquaman still, might consider Aquaman 2 if they kick Amber Heard's disgusting ass straight out,” tweeted one.

However, a few 'Aquaman' fans were rather concerned about the sequel being affected if they plan on recasting Heard. “Hearing about Amber Heard getting fired/not fired from #Aquaman 2. Not sure about the details but one of the many things that cross my mind is that it's a shame Aquafans have to see this happen. Aquaman was such a great movie. I hope the sequel is not affected by all this,” wrote one.
