MIAMI, FLORIDA: A probe into the stabbing death of Christian Obumseli, who was killed by his girlfriend, OnlyFans star Courtney Clenney, has now been revived. Courtney Clenney, also known as Courtney Tailor, a 25-year-old OnlyFans model killed her 27-year-old boyfriend, Christian Obumseli in a luxury apartment earlier this month.

The probe has been revived after authorities prematurely concluded that Clenney killed Obumseli in self-defense on April 3, lawyer Larry Handfield, who represents victim, said, New York Post reported. Obumseli’s relatives were initally informed that Clenney had been cleared and would not be facing any charges.

Clenney's attorney, Frank Prieto, has said that she was forced to stab Obumseli after he grabbed her by the throat. He maintained that the two were estranged at the time of the incident, and that Obumseli stalked her for several weeks before attacking her.

On the other hand, Handfield believes cops passed the quick judgement because Clenney has “blonde hair and blue eyes.” Handfield also said that new witnesses have now opened up, with a former boyfriend claiming that Clenney had tried to stab him during a fight. “All the family wants is an objective, fair investigation,” Handfield said, pointing out that Obumseli had no prior criminal record. “The family just wants to be treated like anyone else would be treated.”

Friends and apartment complex residents have given varying accounts of Clenney and Obumseli's relationship. Some said the social media sensation was routinely vilent. One neighbor claimed that he once saw Obumseli punch the model during a fight. “You would think he would have been arrested at least once,” the unnamed person said.

However, Clenney's attorney said that she never pressed charges. Handfield, on the other hand, said that Clenney wasn’t taken into custody despite allegedly having an open warrant for a 2015 public intoxication case from California. “They never did a check,” he said. “There are things that should have been done that weren’t done. How can you conclude that a person is innocent in a case like this in less than 24 hours? It’s shocking.”

Meanwhile, Obumseli's relatives are enraged because they were never alerted to his death by detectives. Their attorney claimed that the family found out about the incident after a staffer University of Miami Miller School of Medicine called to ask if they wanted to donate his organs. The family initially thought it was only a prank call, Handfield said.

After the murder, Obumseli was rushed to a nearby local hospital by first responders, where he succumbed to his injuries. Officers had said that they believed the violent erruption was caused by a domestic dispute.
