BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA: A 34-year-old Louisiana woman was stabbed to death by a man as the murder was streamed on a Facebook Live. Janice David's hands were tied to a car steering wheel using jumper cables, after which she was fatally stabbed.

Earl Lee Johnson Jr, 35, of Baton Rouge, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder for her slaying. The Facebook Live session lasted about 15 minutes, after which David was found beaten and fatally stabbed in a car on Monday, April 18, Baton Rouge Police Department said.

Orsolya Gaal murder: Husband Howard Klein had reported her MISSING 2 years before she was killed

Who killed Orsolya Gaal? Body of Queens mom, 51, found in blood-soaked duffel bag

“Apparently they were involved in some drug usage together for a couple of days and the end result — as everyone has seen on Facebook Live — is a very gruesome, very evil act,” Sgt. L’Jean McKneely told reporters. Someone reported the horrifying footage to Facebook, which then alerted the police. Responding officers discovered the car left in a parking lot of an office building called Sherwood Tower.

Not much is known about Johnson except that he was arrested on Monday on an unrelated case of car theft. However, when questioned, he confessed to the murder. Johnson had also been convicted of armed robbery in 2007 and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. In a snippet of the video, Johnson in seen sitting in the BMW's passenger seat, accusing David of "stealing my s***, jump out of the car with drugs." He continues to rant, and the looks at the camera and says, "and guess what?", before stabbing Davis in the leg with a knife. David can be heard repeatedly begging Johnson to stop before the clip ends.

David’s cousin Terri Austin said that the situation was "very horrible". “She didn’t deserve to die like this… no one does,” Austin told WAFB. “I really thought, you know, when they say she died that it would have been a vehicle wreck or something like that. Wouldn’t never dream that someone would do this to her.”

This gruesome killing comes as an investigation is ongoing for another brutal slaying -- that of 51-year-old Orsolya Gall, a mom-of-two from Forest Hills whose body was found in a blood-soaked duffel bag. The NYPD said on April 17 that surveillance footage from the area captured “an unknown individual” dragging a wheeled duffel bag from the direction of Gaal’s home.

In the latest development in the case, police want to question a former handyman lover of Gaal who had close knowledge of her home. The man, who has not been formally identified as a suspect or a person of interest, even knew where the family kept a spare key. The two are believed to have been in a relationship that eventually did not work out. It is unclear when the relationship began or ended.

Sources claimed that the man was aware of where a spare key was kept in the home and would have been able to access the house without having to break in. Gaal was stabbed nearly 60 times before her body was disposed of in a duffel bag. She was murdered in the basement of her house while her son, 13, was upstairs. The killer then took her phone and sent a bone-chilling text to Gaal's husband, saying, "Your whole family is next." The murder seemed to have been driven by anger.
