LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amid recent speculations surrounding Beyonce's performance on her Renaissance Tour, there were rumors that she may have snubbed Lizzo. However, the pop sensation's mother, Tina Knowles, has taken it upon herself to address these claims and debunk the speculation.

After Beyonce's performance of 'Break My Soul (Queen's Remix)' during Renaissance Tour on August 1, there were claims she snubbed Lizzo by not mentioning her during the song. Instead, the star repeated the name of Erykah Badu, who had recently suggested in a comment that Beyonce was copying her style. Now Tina Knowles has spoken out to debunk the rumors surrounding the performance.

Did Beyonce 'cancel' Lizzo at Renaissance concert?

As the speculation surrounding Beyonce's performance continued, a fan made a comment suggesting that the lyrical change in the song may have been a way for Beyonce to throw shade at both Lizzo and Erykah Badu, like "hitting 2 birds with 1 stone." However, in response, Tina Knowles intervened, saying, "She also didn't say her own sisters name, yal should really stop."

The music sensation had indeed skipped mentioning Kelly Rowland, her Destiny's Child bandmate, whom Knowles considers a sister to Beyonce and Solange. In the original lyrics, Beyonce gives shoutouts to both Rowland and Solange, along with Lizzo and Badu.

Lizzo was accused of creating a 'hostile, abusive work environment'

Queen Bey's recent attention-grabbing performance came amid controversy surrounding Lizzo, as three of her former dancers filed a lawsuit against the singer. The dancers, Crystal Williams, Arianna Davis, and Noelle Rodriguez, filed a complaint in the Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging a "hostile, abusive work environment" while working with the 'About Damn Time' hitmaker. The lawsuit accuses Lizzo of subjecting them to various forms of mistreatment, including sexual harassment, weight shaming, and disability discrimination.

The reason behind Beyonce's decision to remove Lizzo's name from the song at the last minute remains unclear, and there is no official explanation from the singer herself regarding this change. Speculations from fans varied, with some suggesting that the 'Halo' hitmaker might have shown solidarity with the dancers amidst the lawsuit, while others believed she may have been trying to distance herself from the controversy. However, Knowles has now clarified that Beyonce had no intention of snubbing the 'Truth Hurts' singer.
