LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez's marriage may be coming to an end. The 30-year-old singer raised eyebrows when she attended Wimbledon over the weekend without wearing her wedding ring, hinting at possible marital troubles. Reports surfaced on Monday, July 17, that the couple has indeed decided to split and were "heading for a divorce."

The couple got married in May 2021 at Grande's home in Montecito, California, and she was last seen wearing her wedding band in public back in April during Jeff Goldblum's London concert. The significant emotional distance and differences between the couple led to their decision to part.

Grande and Gomez's marriage was worsened by differences, particularly by the 'Positions' singer's post-Covid schedule and security needs, leading to the couple's decision to separate. The singer is fully immersed in her role as Glinda in the film adaptation of 'Wicked', and an insider previously revealed that she and her husband were facing challenges in their marriage as her latest project had "taken over her life."

An insider told Radar Online, "She tries not to speak unless she is filming to preserve her voice, so they hardly talk to each other. Dalton acknowledges that he is married to one of the world's most renowned people, but the limited quality time they had together as a married couple since Ariana's involvement in the show is reportedly taking a toll on him. While Dalton is used to her career being a priority, his patience has worn thin."

Despite the regular visits, the physical distance between them had a negative impact on their relationship, and the demanding role in 'Wicked' had profoundly influenced every aspect of Grande's life. The contrasting lifestyles and commitments of the two may have contributed to the possibility of their relationship not working out, given their different natures and priorities in life.

Is Dalton Gomez already dating?

Meanwhile, Gomez has reportedly been dating other people for several months now, per Page Six. In January, Dalton, 27, visited Grande in London to try and salvage their marriage. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, "it didn’t work out" and the couple amicably agreed to part ways after the trip. "They’ve been really good friends throughout the entire process, and their friends and families have been trying to protect them," sources said.
