There's absolutely no debating when it comes to the amount of joy and happiness that a baby brings to any family or home. While watching them babble and sleep is an absolute delight, diaper duty is a necessary evil that nobody likes to do but needs to be done. If changing diapers is half the battle, dealing with the nasty diaper odor is a whole another battle.

When Regina Crisci had her son in 2018, she struggled with the 'fierce' diaper smell. Determined to find a solution to the dread of opening the diaper pail and not having to leave diapers outside on the porch to get rid of the smells, she created Diaper Dust. Crisci will be pitching her nifty innovation on the upcoming episode of 'Shark Tank' to the Sharks- Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner, and guest Shark Emma Grede. While we will have to wait to see if any of the Sharks will try to steal the deal, in the meanwhile, you can read all about Diaper Dust and its founder here.

What is Diaper Dust?

Diaper Dust is a revolutionary way to tackle dirty diaper smells. Applied into the diaper, this patent-pending method is changing the odor control game. A mixture of sodium bicarbonate and activated charcoal, Diaper Dust stops the odor in a never-before-seen way. It's time to stop buying diaper pails and plastic bags. It's time to think inside the diaper. "Unscented, diaper odor eliminator. The unique application of this powder is what sets it apart from its odor traping competitors. It neutralizes and controls odor at the source for longer and more efficiently than any other product on the market," claims the brand. Some of the key features of Diaper Dust include:

No need for plastic bags
Portable and perfect for travel
Can throw away in ANY trashcan
No more lingering diaper smell
Odor control that LASTS

Who is the founder?

Regina Crisci is the brains behind Diaper Dust. On the brand's website, Regina shared how having her baby and dealing with the fierce smell of his diapers pushed her to create Diaper Dust. She wrote, "I have been a nurse for seven years, working in nursing homes as a floor nurse, as a manager, and as assistant director. I have worked in hospitals as an IMC contract nurse for the last three years at a Level 1 trauma center serving the wonderful people of Eastern North Carolina. I had my son in 2018 and as most moms know, having a child changes your entire being. He brings so much joy to everyone around him and I thank God every day that I am his mother."

"With all this happiness he brings, he also brings a lot of smells. While he may have been little, his diapers were fierce. I’m not a perfect mom, with the perfect house, with a picturesque nursery, but one thing I absolutely hated was the odor coming from his diaper pail. Every time I would step to open the lid to his pail, a concentrated odor was released and on top of all the other motherly duties I had planned for the day, tackling the diaper pail was now on that list — AGAIN. We tried everything from double bagging, to fragrances, to top-of-the-line diaper pails and nothing was controlling the smell. The pail would trap the odor, only to just absorb it in the plastic. When I came home to see the babysitter had put his diapers outside on the porch, I knew that I had to try something different. I experimented for MONTHS and perfected the product that is now Diaper Dust," she added.

What is the cost and where to buy it?

An eight-ounce jar of Diaper Dust retails for $14, alternatively, one can also purchase the two four-ounce sized jars for $14 as well. You can get your very own Diaper Dust from either the brand's website here or from Amazon. The product currently has 4.5 star rating on Amazon.

A happy customer left the following review on the e-commerce portal. "100% APPROVED!!! Yal I know this is originally for diapers whether they are wet or popped. Well, as an order person some people’s bladders go to leaking. Some worse than others. Well, if that’s YOU this is GREAT for that smell also. Just sprinkle a little on the pad and throw in the trash. My niece told her Mam Maw one day the trash smelt FUNKY!!! Lol! Well. When I heard about her saying this I bought my sister some to try. Now she loves it! No more FUNKY smell in the trash!"

Where is Diaper Dust now?

Diaper Dust seems to be a huge hit amongst customers going by the several rave reviews about the product. Currently, the brand sells only Diaper Dust, but it looks like they may launch various other baby products. "As the founder of A Parent Company and a mother just like you, I am hopeful that Diaper Dust is the first of many products we create to fill the needs of parents. Whether we improve the current option or create a new solution, my goal is to help," shared the bran's founder on the wbesite.

Who will steal the deal?

The sharks will decide on whether to invest in the company or not based on several factors such as the sales numbers, profit margins, demand for the product, etc. Considering it is a baby product, Lori Greiner may be interested in making a deal.

‘Shark Tank’ Season 13 Episode 14 airs on ABC on February 25, 2022, at 8 pm ET. Catch the latest episode featuring products like Range Beauty, Diaper Dust, Junobie and Pinole Blue.
