Boosie Badazz says Derek Chauvin 'lucky' he isn't going to Louisiana jail or else 'boss call' would be made
Former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin, 45, was found guilty of murder and manslaughter by a jury on Tuesday, April 20, nearly a year after the death of African American man, George Floyd. After 10 hours of deliberation, judge Peter Cahill delivered his verdict in the George Floyd death case that sparked nationwide unrest in May 2020.
The verdict, while on the most part was celebrated, there were a few voices who also called the trial and verdict 'unfair'. Some felt it was justice being delivered finally as they await to hear the sentencing. Since the verdict, several individuals have come forward to share their two cents on the matter, one of them being rapper Boosie Badazz. He wrote on Twitter: "He lucky he ain’t going to jail n LOUISIANA #bosscallwouldabeenmade". This he followed with two eggplant emojis.

Naturally, that led to a string of comments they were not pleasant ones with many trolling the rapper instead asking about his threat about jails in Louisiana. "Oh so you know and did something there, huh?" a Twitter user reacted, while another asked: "Boosie you speaking from experience bro?????"
"Y’all just be clout chasing for likes. Clearly this man been in prison and know how grimy it is behind those walls.. there are people in there that do that to rapist, and people like Derek," another posted. "Lmaoo I remember Boosie was TRAUMATIZED when he saw sum shit in prison whole time he made the call," one commented.

Some were quick to acknowledge his tweet and weigh in with their thoughts on the cryptic comment, some were simply not able to decode it. In their tweets, users asked what Boosie's comment on Louisiana meant.
In 2019, the artist was arrested on drug and weapon possession charges in Georgia. According to a report by The Newnan Times-Herald, the rapper drew attention when he swerved his white Dodge Charger out of its lane. A sergeant from the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office pulled over the car and had claimed to get a whiff of “a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle,” which was when he reportedly searched the vehicle. The rapper was arrested with former NFL player Antonio Allen.
This was not the first time Boosie clashed with the law. A Pitchfork report noted, that in 2009 he was sentenced to two years in prison in Louisiana for marijuana possession and two years later, he was sentenced to eight years in prison for conspiring to bring drugs into a penal institution. Although he was released from prison in 2014, Boosie was under supervised parole till 2018.
In other news, Derek's sentencing has been scheduled for a later time. The court is yet to confirm the date and time of the sentencing hearing. The ex-cop's bail has been revoked and he was remanded into police custody for eight weeks at least. Derek was "visibly bewildered" in the live stream of the trial from the courtroom.
