Jamal Murray was unstoppable on Sunday, August 30, as he slammed in another 50-points to help the Denver Nuggets notch up a 119-107 win against Utah Jazz to level the series 3-3. If his next-level gameplay was once the talking point, he made headlines for his emotional speech post-game. Earlier, he was in the spotlight for the custom sneakers with the likenesses of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd on them. The interview after the game had the world applauding him for his conviction.

"Such an incredible expression of raw emotion and real talk from Jamal, congratulations to him from what has shown on and off the court throughout this interview. Spread the word! Game 7 here we go! Man, gotta love the NBA," wrote one of the fans on Twitter.

"I literally felt his emotion, this is a game to remember for Murray," a fan noted.

"Drops 50 points and doesn't talk about himself, that's how you use a platform," read one of the tweets.

"Got a way to win. These shoes mean a lot," Murray had said. "The shoes mean a lot," he said breaking down. "I just want to win... in life you find things that hold value to you, find things to fight for, and we found things worth fighting for in the NBA as a collective unit."

"It’s not just America, it happens everywhere. … We’ve been trying to fight for 40 years but these shoes give me life. Even though these people are gone, they give me life. They’ll give me the strength to keep fighting," he added.

While there were naysayers who took to criticism, the praises far outweighed it. "The fact he made it political, ruins it" read one of the comments. But that was one one of the few critical tweets that could be found as most heaped praise on Murray.

"It's really sad to see players like Jamal Murray like this. Yeah he has the money and fame, but as a person. Even when you stand in victory, he still looks defeated. And with everything thats going around. I don't blame him for being like this. Lots of Love!" read one of the comments.
