Denise Richards shares close relationship with her daughters despite 'abusive home' claims, reveals source
MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: 'RHOBH' star Denise Richards has a close relationship with her daughters Sami and Lola Rose, a source close to Richards has revealed. Sami has shifted to her own place which is closer to Richards' house while Rose still lives with her mother.
"Sami has her own place — Denise helped her get set up and decorate everything and get settled in," People reported, citing sources. "They're really closer than ever now. Denise really wants to keep her girls close to her. She doesn't want to push them away."
'She's a great mom'
"For Denise, it has been traumatizing trying to stay on top of everything and work full time," the insider notes of 'Starship Troopers' star. "But she's a great mom and she has limitless energy for her children. She puts them first above everything."
In September 2021, the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' alum's eldest daughter, Sami claimed in TikTok uploads, as reported by Page Six, that she had moved out of Richards' house and into Sheen's, moaning about being "trapped" at her mother's "abusive" home. “One year ago today: trapped in an abusive household, hated myself, would go days without eating or sleeping, insanely depressed, hated school, etc…” She afterward included a joyful video of herself saying, “now: finally moved out of the hell house, had a spiritual awakening, own 2 cats, happily single, full of self-love, and dropped out of high school :).”
'Sam is amazing'
Sheen, 57, stated via his spokesperson at the time. "Sam is amazing. I love her and all my children unconditionally. We're having a ball. GED here we come." People reported via a source the following month that at the actor's household, Sami and Lola tend to have more freedom while Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers have stricter rules at their home. The source at the time mentioned that Lola, who still lives with Richards, 52, stays with Sheen when the actress is working and returns home when she is back.
'Everything is a big party' at Sheen's house
"She would love for the children when she has to film, to stay in her nice house but they go to 'Wonderland' where they can get anything they want," said the source, who claimed that "everything is a big party" at Sheen's house. A different source told the outlet, "Charlie is a terrific dad and his daughters adore him. They enjoy being with him. Charlie is a strict father but fair. The girls have rules at Charlie's house, which include homework and curfew. The girls are polite and smart and funny and a joy to be with."
