Misunderstanding seems to have stemmed from Variety's headline: "Trump has, if anything, inspired more women and people of color to run for office, says actress Susan Sarandon"
Debra Messing and Susan Sarandon are feuding again. After throwing their lot behind different Democratic nominees in 2016 (Messing for Hillary Clinton and Sarandon for Bernie Sanders), the two seemed to be at loggerheads over what Sarandon is reported to have said to a publication about "more women and people of color running for office" due to President Donald Trump.
The misunderstanding seems to have stemmed from Variety's headline which said: "Trump has, if anything, inspired more women and people of color to run for office, says actress Susan Sarandon."
