Contains spoilers for 'Death and Other Details'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Death and Other Details', streaming on Hulu, has taken an interesting twist as Imogene Scott (Violett Beane) is finally able to put together the missing pieces of the puzzle to crack the murder case of her mother.
Episode 7 of the murder-mystery show aired on Hulu on February 20, 2024, at midnight ET. It leaves viewers amused with startling revelations involving the Collier family.
Celia Chun is a victim of Collier Mills' dirty business
As Imogene Scott embarks on a mission to find out her mother's killer by revisiting the buried memories of her childhood, she realizes that her mother, Kira Scott was a whistleblower.
Along the way, Imogene comes to know that Celia Chun (Lisa Lu) was Kira's friend and a witness to the case against Collier Mills.
Celia's husband worked at the Collier Mills and was one of the five employees who lost their lives due to the usage of a banned substance called Captionem Blue at the factory.
Upon learning about Lawrence Collier's (David Marshall Grant) illicit activities, Kira built up a case against him and planned to present Celia as a witness. She approached Alexandra Hochenberg (Tamberla Perry) to take up the case but she refused.
Celia Chun's master plan to avenge her husband's death
Based on the current revelations, it appears that the Colliers carried out Kira Scott's murder by planting a bomb in her car. Following this tragic event, Celia Chun found herself alone, compelled by the desire to seek vengeance for the deaths of her husband and beloved friend.
Cut to the present day, we find Celia Chun thriving as a prosperous businesswoman, sealing a monumental deal with Collier Mills. Despite Anna Collier's (Lauren Patten) objections, Lawrence surrenders 51% of Collier Mills' shares to Celia Chun in return for financial support.
With this development, Celia Chun has become the majority shareholder of Collier Mills. Although the complete plan is still undisclosed, it is plausible to infer that she had been plotting to take down the Colliers for years.
There's a strong likelihood that she orchestrated events to compel the Colliers to join them on a cruise, even intentionally hiring Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin) to fulfill her long-awaited quest for revenge.
Seven episodes of 'Death and Other Details' are currently streaming on Hulu.
