Former 'Deadliest Catch' star Jerod Sechrist has been arrested again - this time for theft. This is the third arrest in six months for Sechrist, and police reportedly said that he confessed to the theft, saying it was "to fuel his addiction" for heroin.

Sechrist was arrested this week at a Tampa residence for two outstanding charges of grand theft. According to reports, the first pertained to Sechrist swiping his former roommate's silver collectible coins and a Rolex which he sold at a pawn shop; the second charge was for allegedly walking out of a Home Depot store last month with a bucket filled with tools worth $800.

According to a report in TMZ, Sechrist hadn't paid for the tools and when the security personnel tried to stop him, he dropped the bucket and ran away.

When cops brought Sechrist in for the two outstanding charges of theft, he confessed that he was hooked on heroin and only stole to get money for drugs. He even asked if he could get treatment for his addiction.

Previously, Sechrist was arrested in October 2019 for heroin possession. He was apprehended on an open warrant for a previous reckless driving case; when he was taken to the station, cops found a small clear bag in his pocket with a white powder-like substance. An inhouse test conducted on him on the spot came out positive for heroin.

He was arrested again in November 2019 for stealing from an IKEA store. The 33-year-old was booked on a felony charge after it was reported that he had loaded up his shopping cart with electronic products worth $1034 and left the store without paying. He then tried to leave on his bicycle by pulling the cart full of goods behind him.

It was also reported that the security personnel had stopped him and taken his picture before he bailed on the stolen items and took off.

It was also alleged that this was the fifth time that Sechrist had stolen from an IKEA store. He was on probation previously and the third arrest has resulted in jail time without bail.

Sechrist appeared in just three episodes of 'Deadliest Catch' in 2016; however, he left an impression among audiences as he would continually anger his crewmates with his mistakes especially when it came to differentiating between male and female king crabs.
