DC FanDome 2020 kicked off in style with the 'Wonder Woman 1984' panel, followed by the Warner Bros Game Montreal Announcement. We got to see 'The Flash' panel and boy, fans weren't happy with it, though they were pleased with the look of the new suit of the Flash revealed at the panel. It was also revealed that the Flash film would see the birth of the cinematic multiverse as well.

The panel also showed off some concept art that highlighted Barry Allen's new suit, as well as the return of Michael Keaton's Batman. The art was revealed by Andy Muscietti. The first image shows off Barry's new suit and a second image shows Flash alongside Batman. But not Ben Affleck's Batman but Micahel Keaton's version of the Caped Crusader from Tim Burton's movies.

Nevertheless, the fans were unhappy with the panel and called it 'underwhelming' and 'rubbish'.

"The Flash panel was underwhelming. Didn’t expect much but that was rubbish," a fan tweeted.

"The Flash movie panel was so cringe. No mention of Ben Affleck or Michael Keaton returning. And some stupid jokes about Game of Thrones. #DCFanDome," another tweeted.

However, others were quite positive about it and are eager for the film. "#DCFanDome Am I the only one, who thinks that the #Flash movie will feature #NicolasCage as #Superman? I noticed your hint #EzraMiller: „Nicolas Cage never WAS Superman.“ Can’t wait for #Flashpoint and I love the new suit!  CComics," a fan wrote.

"I want to be super excited for The Flash Movie... But I'm just not completely sold on Ezra Miller playing Barry and Justice League really didn't help that. #DCFanDome," another tweeted.

"The sleek design with light flowing through looks so good!! Flashpoint was my favorite story arc and I can’t wait to see it #TheFlash #DCFanDome," another tweeted.

'The Flash', starring Miller has been stalled for years and it has finally got the green light. In all probability, it might dwell on the iconic storyline of the comics, Flashpoint and would see Ben Affleck as well as Michael Keaton returning as Batman in the films.  During the panel discussion, The Flash movie concept art was revealed, among other things.

Christina Hodson, writer of the film told Comicbook.com what Andy Muschietti was going to bring to the film earlier this year. "I think Andy's fantastic," Hodson had shared.  "What I loved about IT, The first one, in particular, is that he can do scary, he can do big genre stuff, but he can also do real heart. He can give those characters real emotional depth. And that's something that I would love to see in Flash."

"What captivated me about the Flash is the human drama in it," Muschietti previously revealed to Fandango. “The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story."
