Vanderpump Rules’ Dayna Kathan dresses as RBG in lingerie for Halloween, Internet says be 'better than this'
Vanderpump Rules’ Dayna Kathan has faced a lot of backlash on social media for posing as “sexy” Ruth Bader Ginsberg for Halloween. Her choice of the costume has been called “disrespectful” and in "poor taste” by her followers on Instagram. The television actor donned black lace lingerie and fishnet stockings as she posted her picture on the social media platform. The caption of the photo read, “My mother told me to be a lady. and for her, that meant be your own person, be independent.' -notorious RBG." Kathan posed in a very sultry way as the late Supreme Court Justice for Halloween while wearing the black lace sleeveless lingerie bodysuit with a plunging neckline. She also amped up her look by adding a white lace collar around her neck, black hoop earrings, and a pair of glasses. To complete the costume, the stand-up comedian wore black fishnet stockings and gloves along with stiletto heels. But her creativity was not taken in the right way as many found it inappropriate.
One such user wrote in the comment section of the post: “So much, just all the cringe.” A second user said, “I mean this in the nicest way possible...No honey. Just no.” “Dude, what are you doing? You are better than this,” added the third user. The fourth person said, “I don't think this is what RGB had in mind…”
However, not just Kathan, another Vanderpump Rules’ cast member, Brittany Cartwright, also faced people’s wrath on the internet. The mother-to-be’s Grinch costume was described as “disturbing”. Her husband, Jax Taylor, posed as Grinch's dog, Max, in a floppy-eared headband. One person on Reddit said, “Ya gotta give one of those extreme warnings here!!! What is seen, cannot be unseen!” Another one commented, “How does Jax get away with an athletic fit brown sweater while Britt is out here looking... like how she’s looking…" The third one wrote: “Her costume grosses me out.” “This is going to haunt me in my nightmares for the rest of my life,” the fourth person added.
Some of her followers on Instagram also took a dig at her as one person said, “What made u think this was okay? Just wondering!! Xxx.” Another wrote, “this is horrifying.” “You need to stop whatever drugs you’re taking,” commented the third user, while the fourth one added: “Sweet Jesus no. What the fresh hell is this?!”
Other cast members of Vanderpump Rules, like mom-to-be Scheana Shay along with her boyfriend, Brock Davies, wore construction workers' costumes for the holiday. The 35-year-old actress shared the picture on Instagram, the caption of which read, “Baby under construction.” Actress Stassi Schroeder, who was recently fired from the show, is also soon going to be a mother and for Halloween, she and her husband, Beau Clarke dressed as creepy undead parents. Schroeder wore a sash that suggested that a baby was coming out of the womb, while her husband’s t-shirt showed inside parts of the stomach. Kristen Doute, who was also fired from the show, wore a dress that read “sale” along with her boyfriend Alex Menache.
