The series will have an interesting take, wherein the legendary sleuth will have an unusual sidekick, his daughter.

According to Screen Rant, the CW indicated their plans for the future of the Holmes franchise at the TCA Winter Press Tour.
During the Press Tour, it became evident that the show would have a peculiar additional turn with the introduction of Amelia (Blu Hunt), who believes the investigator to be his father after her mother's death, adding an enormous surprise to Holmes' character arc.
Furthermore, the series will star David Thewlis, renowned for the portrayal of Remus Lupin in the 'Harry Potter' franchise, as the protagonist for 'Holmes & Daughter'.
Fans are wary about the inclusion of the daughter in the series
