Daniel Craig avoiding alcohol and unhealthy food while getting ready for his final James Bond movie
The British actor was seen at the Golden Globes where he was seen drinking water and munching on a protein bar
English actor Daniel Craig is reportedly avoiding alcohol and unhealthy food to prepare himself for his final stint as James Bond in the upcoming 007 iteration 'Bond 25'.
The movie to be directed by Cary Fukunaga is due to start filming in March 2019 and scheduled for a release in February 2020. As preparation for the gruelling role of the M16 spy, 50-year-old Craig seems to have gone on a healthy diet, and reportedly avoided any unhealthy food during his recent outings.
According to the Daily Mirror, the star chose not to attend a recent BAFTA bash with his wife Rachel Weisz, and instead stayed back home. He also reportedly avoiding wine and canapes at the Golden Globes.
A source from The Daily Mirror reported: "Daniel was clearly adamant he wouldn't be tempted by the alcohol, canapes, haute cuisine and desserts. On Saturday, Rachel attended the BAFTA party but he stayed in. Then at the Golden Globes, he preferred water to wine and was chewing a protein bar."
Craig was recently seen at the screening of 'Green Book' where he posed for a picture with Viggo Mortensen, Peter Farrelly, and Linda Cardellini. The actor looked handsome in his burgundy jumper over a long white shirt that fit perfectly on his hunky torso.
He was beaming with energy as he met the director and cast of the film and appeared to be in good spirits as they clicked pictures at the special event.
'Bond 25' apart from Craig will see the return of previous Bond girl Lea Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, with 'True Detective's Fukunaga set to direct.
The movie's release date got postponed after the original director Danny Boyle left the project due to "creative differences."
The movie is Craig's fifth and last run as the spy, and people have been speculating which actor will replace him in the hi-profile franchise.
Many names have been suggested as a replacement in the role of 007, including Richard Madden, Idris Elba, and James Norton. Elba, who poked fun at the news of him replacing Craig, took a hilarious selfie with the 'Skyfall' star at the Golden Globe.
