LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rachel Weisz revealed her husband Daniel Craig and their four-year-old daughter Grace are ‘Star Wars’ fans. During an interview with ‘The Late, Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ on April 20, the 35-year-old Oscar-winning actress said, “It was like a father-daughter, kind of, bonding experience, and they started on the original ones.”

When Colbert asked if she had actually ever seen “Star Wars,” the actor replied, “Umm" and said, "I'm not that deep into it, but my daughter got obsessed. She kept saying, 'Google this. Google this: What does Darth Vader look like under his mask?' She wants to know everything. She's obsessed with the mythology and these characters are so real for her," states People.

'Dad says Star Wars is broken'

Weisz said her daughter's keenness to know everything about 'Star Wars' was getting a little "too intense," so Craig told her that Star Wars "is broken." Recollecting it, she said, "We were in London when this happened. [Grace] said, 'Dad says Star Wars is broken.' So they can't watch it anymore. And we just got to New York and she said, 'Is Star Wars broken in New York too?'" "And so I said, 'Yeah, yeah it's broken,'' Weisz laughed. Weisz then narrated that Grace has only seen the original three movies, 'A New Hope', 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'Return of the Jedi'. She said her daughter had seen Craig's brief cameo in 2015's 'The Force Awakens' where he appeared as a stormtrooper whom Daisy Ridley’s Rey used a Jedi mind trick on to escape interrogation by Kylo Ren. Colbert then turned to question Weisz about the film series and asked, "How many Star Wars movies have there been?" To which, she incorrectly replied, "12."

Inside Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig's relationship

The 'James Bond' actor was previously married to actress Fiona Loudon from 1992 to 1994 while Weisz was in a relationship with director Darren Aronofsky but split after nine years of dating. In February 2010, Weisz and Craig connected on the set of 'Dream House' and got married in 2011 but kept it all a secret and private affair. The pair then announced they were expecting their first child together a few months before welcoming Grace in September 2018. “I’ll be showing soon,” Weisz said in an interview with the New York Times in April of that year. “Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human. We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery.”
