'The Masked Singer' Season 7 Spoilers: Is Michael Rooker the Cyclops? Here are clues
'The Masked Singer' Season 7 is already off to a great start! Following the elimination of the Ram who was revealed as Joe Buck, the three remaining contestants from group A aka Firefly, Thingamabob, and Cyclops, are ready to battle it out for a spot in the finale.
While fans are confident about the identity of Firefly and Thingamambob, the Cyclop costume is proving to be a lot harder to guess. Even though many fans found that the Team Bad's Cyclops' voice was familiar, the assortment of clues ranging from meteorite to a pirate map, were enough to throw off even the Sherlock-level sleuthing skilled fans. But after carefully analyzing the clues we believe that 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star Michael Rooker might be underneath the Cyclops costume. Keep reading to see why we think Rooker might be the mysterious Cyclops.

Clues about Cyclops
The Cyclop's clue package revealed Cyclops hiding under the bed and complaining about how he is always cast as the villain. He also complained about the cluttered corners when the camera pans to a compass pointed in the S-SE direction. The clue package also features a framed picture of a turtle wearing a cowboy hat. The Cyclops is shown to be a savvy entrepreneur who sells his products named Cy-Drops, which reportedly gives "fast relief for redness". As if to throw us off further, the clue package also featured a comic book with "Beware cyclops" and "Evil Beastie" written on it. Cyclops declares that he'll always be a "baddie".
His mega clue was "the meteorite crashed to earth in 1988." He also added that he connected with the monsters more than heroes and groaned about being disappointed at the end of 'Beauty and the Beast' when the Beast turned out to be "handsome like Robin!" While the clues might appear to be very random and confusing, a careful examination of each of the clues points us in the direction of Michael Rooker.
Is Michael Rooker under the Cyclops mask?
The show's celebrity panel of judges threw in their guesses as well. Jenny McCarthy believed that the Cyclops was none other than 'Cobra Kai' star William Sabka, while Nicole Scherzinger thought it was Danny McBride. Robin Thicke declared it as Rob Dryde, and Ken Jong rounded off by guessing that Chris Pratt was the Cyclops.
We think it's Michael Rooker behind the Cyclops mask. The first clue -- a treasure map with an "X" on it could be a homage to Rooker's role as a space pirate on the 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. 1988 could be the clue pointing at the year of Rooker's character kidnapping the Star Lord in the movie. The major clue aka the meteorite could be a clue to his movie 'Meteor'. The Cyclops also expressed feeling tired of being cast as a villain. Rooker played the role of villain in several shows and movies such as 'Suicide Squad', 'The Walking Dead', etc. The SE on the compass might be hinting at Rooker's hometown Alabama, which lies in the Southeast.
Fans also feel that Rooker could be hiding underneath the Cyclops mask. A fan commented on the show's YouTube clip with, "1988 got me those Guardians of the Galaxy vibes because of the meteor from the Clue package! Michael Rooker's in those movies and I like him as Yondu! So yeah, Cyclops gotta be Michael Rooker."
Another fan wrote, "I didn't know Michael Rooker could sing. Go Rook!" "This is Michael Brookers for sure, if all of the clues line up, he had a role of different villains through out his careers!" pointed out a fan. "This is the toughest one, but Michael Rooker is my guess," declared a fan.
While all the clues do point at Michael Rooker possibly being the Cyclops, we will have to wait until the unmasking to see whether it is indeed him or not. We can't wait to see who is hiding underneath the Cyclops mask, but until then we'll be looking for more clues that might confirm our guesses.
'The Masked Singer' Season 7 airs every Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX.
