Trump in 'uncharted territory' as he received certain therapies after Covid-19 diagnosis, says Dr Sean Conley
President Donald Trump left the Walter Reed Medical Center on Monday, October 5, after spending three nights there and asked the people of America not to feel afraid of the coronavirus that has hit him as well. However, his doctor at the White House said the same day that the commander-in-chief is in “uncharted territory” with his health condition even as the latter announced his will to return home. Dr Sean Conley, who has been accused of not revealing the president’s health conditions, said at a press conference outside the Bethesda Medical Center in the afternoon that the president “may not be entirely out of the woods yet.”
Trump announced last Friday, October 2, that he tested positive for coronavirus along with his wife Melania Trump, the first lady. He, however, showed to the people that he is upbeat despite the diagnosis and praised his doctors and supporters from the hospital in tweets and a video message. He finally returned to the White House on Monday evening and removed his mask in a macho style, seemingly putting the White House staff members at risk. A move for which he was soundly slammed.
“We all remain cautiously optimistic and on guard because we’re in a bit of uncharted territory when it comes to a patient that received the therapies he has so early in the course,” Conley said in the press conference. “So we’re looking to this weekend, if we can get through to Monday with him remaining the same or improving, then we will all take that final deep sigh of relief,” he said, heightening suspicion as to why the president was so keen to return to his official residence. Conley, however, said at his press meet that Trump could be made to undergo at home the same tests that he has faced in the hospital.
It has been observed over the past many months that it usually takes till 10 days for the disease’s harsh symptoms to work their way through the patient’s system. A positive test also requires 14 days of quarantine. But the president, who has been downplaying the virus throughout, cared little for such medical protocols. He is even ready to hit back his campaign trail and participate in the second presidential debate with Joe Biden next week.
Conley evasive over when Trump last had a Covid-19 test
When Conley was asked when the president had his last Covid-19 test, he was evasive to say that he didn’t want to go backward. He also didn’t get into the specifics about the president’s medications. This has been the latest in what many called a lack of transparency over a critical situation that saw the first couple and several others in the president’s inner circle getting hit by the virus. Biden, Trump’s Democratic presidential challenger, however, said in a town hall in Florida on Monday that ‘moment to moment’ specifics about the president’s health are not required as that could have an implication for the nation’s security.
Sean Conley isn’t a doctor, he’s a propagandist https://t.co/WtDQlerJzv

Conley told the media that “the president has been a phenomenal patient”, echoing the words that were recently uttered by Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani who called the president the “strongest and healthiest guy anywhere near his age”. The doctor was soon slammed on Twitter as on called him a 'propagandist'. Less than an hour before Conley met the press, Trump had tweeted saying he was all set to leave the Walter Reed for the White House in the evening. He advised his countrymen not to feel afraid of the disease in the same post.
He wrote on Twitter, “I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”
