Country star Morgan Wallen celebrates becoming a dad as he welcomes son Indigo, but why are fans 'hurt'?
Country singer Morgan Cole Wallen welcomed a child with his ex-wife KT Smith on July 10. He shared an adorable picture with his baby son on Instagram with his 1 million fans and said that they had named him Indigo Wallen.
Indigo was born at 5:34 pm in Nashville, Tennessee, weighing 6 lbs, 13 oz, according to Smith’s post. The ‘Up-Down’ singer said in his post that having Indigo has "changed" him as a man.
Showcasing his fatherly instinct, the 27-year-old-singer shared his experience of welcoming Indigo as, “Since you came into the world Friday, I see mine differently now. It’s not just me anymore, and I’m glad it’s not. This year has been the hardest of my life in so many ways, but that’s not what i will remember it by. You are. You are a gift and this tough year just made sense.”
He’s also promised he would be the dad Indigo deserves “as well as the co-parent your mother deserves.” The post further read, "Since you were born, I know that every decision I make will be with you in mind. I promise I’ll always protect you, and do my best to be an example of a good, godly man just like my daddy was for me.” In the latter part of his post, Wallen said, “I’m ready for whatever God has planned for me and my little guy. He’s healthy and happy and while I’m typing this I’m getting in the truck to go hold him right now. Thank you for all the love and prayers.”
Although the singer is cherishing every moment with his little guy, Wallen's fans seem to be heartbroken. Many of his fans have expressed that they are “hurt” over the “hot” singer entering fatherhood. One fan wrote, “I just recently got played... we’re not gonna talk abt it. But then today I find out that Morgan Wallen is a whole DAD! And tbh I’m more hurt abt that.”
And another shocked fan tweeted, “Morgan Wallen put a baby in another woman, I can’t breath”. While another added, “Morgan Wallen is a dad. I won’t lie to y’all, I’m kinda sad it’s not my kid but I’m still happy for him”
One surprised fan who totally unexpected the news, wrote, “Y’all.... Morgan Wallen just had a kid... I thought 2020 was wild but this is by far the biggest plot twist so far."
