'Counting On' stars Abbie and John David Duggar welcome first child, daughter Grace Annette

The Duggar family is growing! Abbie and John David Duggar recently became proud parents to a beautiful daughter on Tuesday, January 7. “Our lives have changed forever with the arrival of our baby girl,” the pair told US Weekly. She is a beautiful gift from God. We are so blessed the Lord has given her to us. It’s still surreal to know that we are parents but it’s a great new adventure that we are excited to take on together.”

The pair have named their daughter Grace Annette. The couple even took to Instagram to share the happy news with the fans. "Welcome to our world Grace Annette (Gracie)!!! Gracie was born early Tuesday morning, she was 7 pounds 11 oz and 20 3/4 inches long. We are quite smitten by our new bundle of joy and are soaking in all of her little newborn snuggles!" they wrote. 

The couple confirmed their pregnancy news in August with an adorable photo. Holding a onesie which read, "Baby passenger on board" the pair announced to the world that they will be welcoming a little one soon. "We are on Cloud 9 about welcoming our own little Duggar into the world!!!" they wrote alongside the announcement. 

"It is amazing to think about being parents and having our child to raise. We are thankful that God has blessed us with this new life and we look forward to taking on this new adventure!" they continued. Abbie and David first broke the news about pregnancy to Jenna Duggar. 

Jenna arrived at their home after the pair was back from their trip and Abbie took this moment to break the big news to her. She then surprised the rest of the family members when she decided to show up at the photoshoot that was organized for all the Duggars who were expecting.
