Are Cory Booker and Rosario Dawson dating? Internet calls her 'lucky woman' after Senator's emotional speech
Senator Cory Booker made headlines on Monday, January 4, working to elect fellow Democrats Jon Ossoff and Rev Raphael Warnock to the Senate. As Georgians went to the polls in the election that will all but determine which party controls the Senate, he was busy urging his followers on Twitter who live at Peach State to get to the polls on Tuesday, January 5. Now he rocked the Senate floor with a speech condemning the Capitol mob act and comparing it to the war of 1812.
"This time, we brought this hell upon ourselves," Booker said as his speech saw him garner a massive amount of respect on Twitter. On the sidelines was also a discussion on social media about Booker's relationship with actress Rosario Dawson. Twitter dubbed Dawson as a "lucky woman" especially when they found out the two were dating.
"Just found out Cory Booker and Rosario Dawson are together, and I now have a new favorite power couple. Framed picture going up in my office soon," read one of the tweets.
"Sidenote: I still think Cory Booker is a fine man. Rosario Dawson is a lucky woman." Another tweet was in agreement" "@CoryBooker makin me feel all sorts of emotions. @rosariodawson you’ve got an awesome man."

Some felt she played a key role in his speech. "I think @CoryBooker got some really awesome lessons from @rosariodawson on how to really feel and be the passion of your words when you’re in the spotlight. For real tho, #greatspeech #jerseyproud #nj"
"What a great speech from Rosario Dawson's boyfriend the great senator from Jersey @CoryBooker," seconded another tweet.

The 51-year-old senator is currently dating 41-year-old Dawson, according to Oprahmag, and it does appear the two-year relationship is a serious one. "It has meant a lot to me to know he’s running for the highest public office in America and he’s still centering us in our relationship and prioritizing, ya know, creating our foundation," Dawson told Extra in 2019.
Booker seconded that the same year while talking to the Washington Post. "Look, both of us, you know, we’ve had relationships,” Booker said, “but I’m not sure if I’ve ever fully given myself over to a relationship as much as I have with her and allowed myself to be as vulnerable.”
"Cory Bookers pissed...I would be too if something prevented me from making it home to @rosariodawson," read one of the tweets after listening to Booker's speech.

"I saw the flag of the Confederacy" during today's attack on the Capitol by pro-Trump insurrectionists. "How will we confront this shame?" Booker questioned while talking on the Senate floor. Five hours earlier, he had even tweeted: "On August 24, 1814, the British stormed our Capitol and set fire to it. Now the Capitol has again been breached and sieged. Donald Trump incited this. He is responsible for this. And he is silent as this tragic moment continues."
