Coronavirus: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II keeps quarantined fans entertained by drawing their portraits on live stream
With production being halted on shows and movies being delayed indefinitely, there's really not much to do to keep yourself occupied during the coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine. There are only so many hours you can spend doing things around the house and eventually boredom begins to strike.
But not if 'Aquaman' and 'Watchmen' star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has anything to say about it. The actor decided to keep fans entertained by offering to draw their "portraits" on his Instagram live.
It all started with his tweet: "Go to my IG Live to get your portrait drawn."
What ensued was an over hour-long laugh riot for everyone involved while Yahya drew hilariously terrible drawings of his fans. At the end of it all, the actor put out another tweet saying, "Thank y’all for kickin it with me tonight! Maybe I should go on live more often. Y’all please be SAFE! It’s a crazy confusing time. Let’s spread more love and do all we can to get this train back on the tracks!"
Well, he certainly did manage to spread the love. Fans are super grateful to the actor for taking time out to entertain the masses and quite a few of them are taking to social media to let him know how much they loved this short respite from the monotony.
"Highlight of my day @yahya drawing fans on his instagram live," one fan tweeted. "The laugh I didn’t know I needed hahahaha."
Another fan wrote, "This was really fun, thanks for the entertainment."
And one fan even has some ideas for how Yahya can monetize his art. "You could ironically sell those for millions in the new york art scene," they tweeted.
"You should [go live more often]," another fan tweeted. "I’m all anxious and quarantined so I need all the laughs I can get. Stay safe!"
"I needed those laughs," a fan wrote. "Thank you."
"You should def go live more lol," another fan said. "Stay safe as well."
And finally, we'd like to join this one fan who spoke for all of us writing, "Love you so much king!"
