'Coronation Street' star Brooke Vincent has announced that she's pregnant and expecting her first child with footballer boyfriend Kean Bryan. The 26-year-old actress revealed the news in a recent magazine interview, displaying her proud baby bump on the cover.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, the star explained that she was initially quite "worried" that she wouldn't be able to get pregnant. But now, the actress is "beside herself with happiness", sharing the happy news with her family, friends, and co-stars like Helen Flanagan.

Brooke further revealed during her interview that she always wanted to be a mum, further admitting how she enjoyed a close relationship with her own mother who had her when she was 24. "My mum had me when she as 24 and we have a really close relationship so I’m hoping that will happen for me. If I’m half the mother my mum is then I’ll be happy," she said.

The actress, who recently celebrated 15 years on 'Coronation Street' playing Sophie Webster, also revealed her decision to have her footballer boyfriend and her mum in the birthing suite beside her while she delivers her baby. Brooke, in her second trimester, and her boyfriend have reportedly decided not to find out the baby's gender, but she has a hunch that it might be a baby boy.

On having a baby with her footballer partner, Brooke said to the magazine, "We’re both each other’s biggest fans and having a baby together will add an extra bond. Kean brings out the best in me and it makes me so excited that we’re on this journey together."

She added, "I like to think I’m the boss of our relationship but Kean has a really wise head on his shoulders, so I know he’ll be a brilliant dad. I’ve said to Kean that I hope our child is a show-off, I want it to be a performer like me."

The actress also spoke about how she had been dressing up in baggy clothes to hide her baby bump, in a bid to keep her pregnancy a secret.

The actress had lately been posting pictures and videos with either baggy clothes or taking shots from her head and shoulders to hide her bump. Meanwhile, Brooke has already bonded with her bump, playing her baby music: "Sometimes I sit and cry about how much I love my baby! I’ve always wanted to be a mum, so I’m really excited."

Speaking of wedding bells, the soap actress said that although the couple recently admitted that they were in no rush to get married, Brooke revealed she would "love to get married". "Kean and I speak about it," she said, adding, "But we are concentrating on the baby for the foreseeable."
