Former NBA player Dennis Rodman was confronted by police after he ignored requests by authorities to put on his face mask while taking a JetBlue flight on Monday, December 20. Rodman reportedly refused to wear his face mask despite being asked to do so four times.

The 60-year-old Rodman was traveling first class on JetBlue, flying from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale and the staff of the flight asked him to put on his mask properly. However, he ignored and left his mask to rest on his chin. With the new variant of Covid-19 spreading all over the world, airports and airlines have continued to take strict measures and enforce all Covid guidelines on the flight.

After some requests, Rodman did put back his mask but he kept pulling it down as he claimed he is having trouble breathing. Rodman had to meet deputies from Broward County Sherrif's Office soon after they landed.

He was not issued with a citation as he agreed that he would cooperate with the staff. JetBlue's site clearly states that all travelers who are two years or older in age should wear a mask throughout their flight as well as in the airport premises during the boarding and landing process.

It also states that one must wear a mask properly. It should be above the chin and properly cover the nose and mouth. This is not the first time that Rodman has not complied with Covid guidelines. He was seen failing to maintain social distance in September 2020 while he was interacting with his fans at a Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles. He talked to his fans and shook hands with them while his mask rested on his chin. However, his fans covered their faces with a mask.

Rodman is not the first celebrity who has faced controversy for not complying with Covid guidelines, especially mask mandate. Katie Price was kicked off a flight connecting from Las Vegas earlier in November.

At the time, Katie Price was flying with her fiance Carl Woods to Love Island. The two were kicked off the flight after they ignored the request to wear masks.
