Comedian Park Ji-sun, 36, and her mother found dead at their Seoul home in suspected suicide

The authorities are looking into whether there was any foul play in the deaths and investigating the cause of death

Comedian Park Ji-Sun, 36, was found dead along with her mother at a home located in Mapo-gu in Western Seoul, the authorities have revealed. According to a police official, Park Ji Sun and her mother were found dead earlier this afternoon. The authorities had been dispatched to the scene after they received a report. They are looking into whether there was any foul play in the death of the mother and daughter and investigating the cause of death. 

The Mapo Fire Station had released a statement and said, "A report came in at around 1:40 pm and we were dispatched to the scene. A total of two people, Park Ji Sun, and a person believed to be her mother, were found dead. We transferred the case to the police," Koreaboo reports. 

Park had been undergoing treatment due to her health condition and her mother was staying with her in Seoul. The police are suspecting suicide but the investigation is ongoing. In the year 2007, Park had made her debut as a comedian at KBS. She was also widely recognized for her work on TV entertainment shows. 

Many social media users reacted in shock at Park's death and took to the comments section to express and share their condolences. One such user shared, "MC Park Ji Sun was reported found dead in her home along with her mother. you are loved by nctzens because you make our boys comfortable. even other fandoms adored you for taking care of their idols. may you rest in peace together with your mom." Another added, "SHe is such a kind and she loves our boys so much... May she and her mother rest in peace."

"Oh my god what... this is so heartbreaking," commented yet another user. "May she and her mother rest in peace. she seemed like a lovely and caring woman<3 my condolences to their family," commented another upset user. Yet another added, "oh my god i hope her and her family are resting in peace , i wish condolences to the rest of their family."
