Clare Crawley and Dale Moss, who made headlines with their whirlwind romance on Season 16 of ‘The Bachelorette’ have now decided to walk different paths. In an Instagram story, Dale revealed that he and Clare have made the “healthiest decision” of going their “separate ways”. The couple got engaged only 12 days after meeting each other on ABC’s dating reality show. 

Dale’s complete post read, “I wanted share with you all that Clare and I have decided to go our separate ways. We appreciate the love and support we’ve received from so many people, but this is the healthiest decision for both of us at this time. We strongly believe in leading with love and always remaining true to oneself - something our families have taught and instilled in us throughout our lives. We only hope the best things for one another. Please respect our privacy as we work through this together." Meanwhile, Clare is yet to respond to Dale's post. 

Why did Clare Clawrey and Dale Moss break-up?

It was nothing but love between these two until a few days ago. On January 14, in an episode of 'Raising the Bar With Alli and Adrian', Dale revealed that he entered 'The Bachelorette' only because Clare headlined the season. He said, "I never actually signed up. And I turned it down over and over and over again. And I actually finally committed to it four days before everyone was supposed to leave for the show. And the only reason I committed to it was because Clare was announced as Bachelorette at that time."

What followed their surprise engagement on the show were days of traveling together, any number of posts showing loads of PDA and admiration for each other. Clare and Dale's respective Instagram handles are filled with their romantic posts and it almost seems like they were meant for each other. 

Despite the fondness for each other, they found themselves "fighting a lot", a source close to the couple told E! "Clare and Dale have been fighting a lot recently. They are mainly in disagreement over lifestyle preferences. Dale wants to be in a lively city and focus on his career, and Clare is rooted in Sacramento to help care for her mom. It's been very tense recently between them."

They further added that Dale "feels like he's rushing into something he's unsure about" even though he cares deeply for her. "They are both still getting to know each other and figuring it all out. They've decided to take some time apart for now... They are still figuring out the logistics of their relationship and if they will stay together." Perhaps, they only decided to separate recently as a few days ago, Clare shared a picture with Dale, with him holding her by the waist and her leaning in for a kiss, and captioned it, "Let’s never leave."

Clare is ‘not holding up well’

The break-up with Dale has reportedly left Clare devastated. A source told US Weekly, "She really fell hard for Dale and saw a future with him. The breakup was hard for the both of them at the end.” They also said that she is “not holding up well”. Word has it that the couple didn’t agree on a lot of things, which turned things “messy” eventually. The insider added, “Clare started many of the arguments, and Dale would try not to rock the boat too much, but it all became too much for the both of them. They finally realized that perhaps they did move too quickly after all.”

Daily Mail reported that Clare is currently in Sacramento, California, “tending to her mom” who is suffering from Alzheimer’s. While she is yet to break her silence on her broken relationship with Dale, some reports have suggested that he was “not ready for a real commitment with Clare”, hence he called it quits.

How they found love in less than two weeks!

Clare and Dale's romance undeniably re-defined the latest season of 'The Bachelorette'. The producers had to bring in a new bachelorette after Clare declared that Dale was her "future husband" and "man of her dreams" in less than two weeks of the meeting. But, even when their relationship was just blooming, they had expressed completely different interests with respect to their future together. While Dale said he was letting it all soak in, Clare was heard talking about having babies with her man. Despite their engagement on national television, many accused Dale of appearing on the show for clout. 

Responding to trolls and critics who dragged their relationship, Clare once said in an interview, "I will always do my best to rise above the negativity and find the positive, but I am not superhuman. So when you choose to pass judgments without knowing someone personally or even something as small as a snide comment, please remember just like you, I am simply trying my best."

Bachelor Nation fans react

The news surrounding Bachelor Nation's recent romance being called off has had a large number of people reacting on social media. While some are worried for Clare, as she believed she had met the one, the rest are wondering if either of them would re-appear on the show's franchise to find love once again. 

One tweeted, "Guess you could go on Paradise again?" and another added, "I'm sad for Clare man." One tweeted, "For the first time, I feel really bad for Clare Crawley. I don't think Dale had any intent to get married. It's a shame Clare didn't stick around to meet any other guys."
