Rapper and model Chynna Rogers died at the age of 25 and the news left many stunned at the loss of yet another young rapper.

The cause of death has not been confirmed but one of Chynna's close friends, Quibi Brunson, tweeted, "Just lost another friend to drugs. I’m not going to be quiet about it. I’m tired of drug culture. Everything about it. Everything attached to it. I know there’s a bigger picture. But i don’t care right now. I’m so tired. And sad."

Others were left reeling from the news, which is one among many celebrity deaths to have been reported this year. "2020 is by FAR the worst year ever," tweeted one fan, adding, "Too many creatives, too many wonderful souls. RIP Chynna." Another said, "Legit how many more people are gonna die this year?! we lost kobe, his daughter, chynna, maeve and her only 8 year old son, bill withers, another rapper named lexii, and sooo many coronavirus deaths."

Admittedly, 2020 has not been the best year for most. Many have chosen to take some time off from social media due to the stream of distressing news that fills their feeds, and sadly, some logged in only to find out Chynna was no more.

"I take a little breaky break off social media to come back and hear Chynna died?!," tweeted one fan, adding in disbelief, "Stop playin wit me." Another stated, "Logging into instagram for the first time in a few hours and the first thing on my feed is that another artist had died, it honestly hurts my heart man, Chynna Rogers died so young, may she rest easy."

Chynna was born in Philadelphia and started her career as a model, signing with Ford Models when she was just 14 years old.

Many fans were left totally stunned by the news. "Yoooo what RIP Chynna," tweeted one fan. Other fans spoke about how they looked up to the young rapper, with one stating, "Everyone wanted to be as cool as Chynna for real. Rest In Peace." Some were upset that they lost Chynna instead of others like Takeshi 6ix9ine, tweeting, "Take 6ix 9ine wack rat a** & give us Chynna back. Rest In Heaven to a creative."

Many fans also chose to retweet the image of Chynna with Mac Miller, which the rapper shared on her social media in 2018 following his death, captioned: "kool aid 2 my frozen pizza. period." One fan tweeted, "This one hurts man... RIP Chynna RIP Mac Miller," and another said, "It’s too much. All of it."

Miller died on September 7, 2018, at the age of 26 from an accidental drug overdose. Chynna herself has struggled with opioid addiction in the past but has also spoken about her attempts to overcome it.

In a 2018 interview, Chynna said she released her 2016 album 'Ninety' on her 22nd birthday following three months of sobriety. Despite initial reports not confirming the cause of her death, many were already speculating that her death was drug-related. One tweeted, "Maybe tell your faves to stop doing drugs," in response to tweets that were mourning the loss of an artist gone too soon.

Another tweeted, "2020 really gotta chill. And these young rappers really need to stop using wild a** drugs. Chynna was going to be a force in the game though. R.I.P."
