Who is Christine Hammontree? Maine woman, 29, goes missing from Times Square after getting into cab
TIMES SQUARE, NEW YORK CITY: A woman, who originally hails from Maine, has mysteriously disappeared from New York City in the early hours of Monday, May 24, 2021. The 29-year-old was reported missing later on Tuesday, May 25, by her worried parents in Falmouth, Maine. She was last spotted in the surveillance footage of McDonald's, Times Square, which showed her getting into a car with 'a group of unidentified individuals'.
According to the police, Hammontree was last seen wearing 'an oversized blue T-shirt with cut off light blue jeans and sandals'. She was also carrying an orange backpack and had put her black Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses on top of her head. She was described to be 5'9" in height and around 110 pounds in weight. She has brown eyes and brown hair, states the police report.

Who is Christine Hammontree?
Falmouth police Lt. Jeff Pardue told Central Maine that Hammontree lived in New York previously, but she had moved in with her parents in Falmouth. Recently, she was visiting New York with a boyfriend, whose identity has not been revealed yet.
Police officials have spoken to Hammontree's boyfriend after her disappearance but they refused to divulge further details about the interaction. It is also unclear whether she had lost contact with him.
According to the surveillance footage, Hammontree was seen around 2 am on Monday near McDonald's Times Square. She got into a yellow cab with a man and two other women. Details about the cab driver or other passengers are not known yet. Police officials are waiting for additional video footage to be procured via a subpoena. Meanwhile, they are also looking through Hammontree's cell phone information and bank activity for leads.
Falmouth Police have urged anyone with any information about Christine Hammontree to come forward and connect with them at 207-781-2300. Since she is based out of Maine, Falmouth Police Department is investigating her disappearance, while New York Police Department is assisting in the investigation.
