Chrissy Teigen calls Trump-centric conspiracy theorists 'nutcases' who spread pedophilia rumors linking John Legend
A frustrated Chrissy Teigen took to social media on October 22 to vent her anger on conspiracy theorists who defamed her and husband, John Legend, by spreading rumors that both of them were involved in a pedophile ring.
In a series of unfiltered tweets, Teigen slammed the people who supported the Trump-centric QAnon conspiracy theory that falsely claimed that the POTUS was working to expose a number of Hollywood and elite liberal pedophiles, which also apparently included her and John.
"(You) know what is not great? I still have to read on social media many times a day that John and I are pedophiles and look at photoshopped/miscaptioned photos of us on 'Epstein Island' and I just have to deal with it because people are crazy," the 33-year-old mother-of-two wrote.
She added in another tweet: "If I take legal action, it gets worse because then, to them, it's true and I'm trying to 'silence' them. It's on posts about anything. Random 90 days fan pages, meme accounts, anything. Even if the content is normal, the comments are... this s**t. these days."
Teigen went on to recall a time when her life was easy and she could just hop down to the grocery shop or the park with her children without having to spend time thinking about people in her hometown "who genuinely believe we are in a pedo ring that is always *ALMOST* about to be exposed."
She continued: "I hate what some people have become and what social has done for this kind of reach. It sucks. And now they'll post this too, and it'll get even worse. I'm just so fu****g tired. I have a love justice. When people do wrong, I need them to know they're wrong. this isn't a good or bad thing, but it's me. The fact I have to learn to let people get away with s**t like this is insane to me. It makes me ill inside. Yep, they're just crazy! Don't worry bout em!"
In her later tweets, she called the conspiracy theorists “pathetic NUTCASES” and “BATSHIT,” urged them to “get help." She also said that she was tired of seeing the false content being posted about her family and wanted to "fight this s**t."
