'Love doesn’t always go as planned'
On May 10, 2023, Stause announced that after a year of dating, she and G Flip had said "I do." She broke the news on Instagram in a video montage of the duo, with G Flip's song 'Be Your Man' playing in the background. "Love doesn’t always go as planned... Sometimes it’s immeasurably better."
In the post, the real estate agent described G Flip as the kindest, funniest, and most talented hard-working person out there," and her partner commented, "My darling, I adore and love you with all my heart. These are the sweetest words, and this is the cutest little edit. You make me so happy. Thank you x."
How did the couple meet?
In 2021, the former soap opera star and songwriter met at a Halloween party. Stause later appeared in G Flip's music video for 'Get Me Outta Here'. During the 'Selling Sunset' Season 5 reunion, the pair announced their relationship.
"I have recently been spending a lot of time with someone who is very important to me. Their name is G Flip. They're non-binary, so they go by they/them. And they are an extremely talented musician," Stause said at the time during the episode that aired in May 2022.
Prior to her relationship with G Flip, Stause was previously married to actor Justin Hartley. In January 2021, the actress and 'This Is Us' actor finalized their divorce two years after their marriage.
In response to Stause's marriage announcement post, her ex-boyfriend and boss, Jason Oppenheim, called them the "most inspiring couple." He commented, "I am SO excited for this!! You and G are the most inspiring couple, and the affection between you both is so pure. I love you two tons and am so lucky to have you both in my life. Congrats!" Oppenheim and Stause broke up in December 2021.
