Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger's love story: Romantic picnic dates to welcoming their baby daughter
Actor Chris Pratt and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger have welcomed their first baby together after announcing the latter's pregnancy in April this year. Katherine's brother Patrick confirmed the news in an exclusive video obtained by ET on Sunday.

When Chris announced separation from Anna Farris
After 8 years of marriage, Chris and Anna decided to legally separate from each other. The couple made the announcement on social media. On August 6, 2017, Chris posted on Facebook, "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."
When Chris and Katherine started dating
The couple was spotted together for the first time on June 17, 2018, when Chris took Katherine out on a picnic date. Later, it was revealed that the two were dating quietly for months. A close source told E! back then, "It's still very new between Chris and Katherine but the picnic was not their first date. They have been on multiple low key dates and have been talking consistently for the last two months or so." Later on August 5, it was reported that Chris went out with Katherine's family for dinner. According to People, Katherine's brother, Patrick Schwarzenegger, posted a video to his Instagram Stories that shows Chris out with their family for a casual dinner. In the video, Chris and Katherine are all smiles, laughing at something a member of the Schwarzenegger family does towards the end of the dinner table.
When they became Instagram Official
In a power move, Chris finally took a photo collage of the two to Instagram on Katherine's birthday on December 13, 2018. "Thrilled God put you in my life," he wrote in the caption. "Thankful for the laughs, kisses, talks, hikes, love and care."
When they got engaged
On January 14, 2018, Chris announced his engagement to Katherine on Instagram, sharing a picture providing a clear look at his fianceé's square-cut diamond ring. "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!" The post gained over 3 million likes, with celebrity friends and fans congratulating him on the engagement.
When they tied the knot
The couple tied the knot on June 8, 2019, in an intimate ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.
When they welcomed their first child
On August 9, 2020, Katherine's brother, Patrick Schwarzenegger confirmed the news that Katherine and Chris have welcomed their first child. As reported by ET, in a video Patrick revealed, "They're doing great -- just got her a little gift," The 26-year-old gave a thumbs up when congratulated on becoming an uncle. He then showed the camera a package with a pink ribbon, before getting into his car. It was unclear whether the gift was for his sister or the baby. It was revealed by ET that the baby was born in St John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California.
