'I'm thrilled to be marrying you': Chris Pratt announces engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger with an adorable social media post
The actor took to Instagram on Sunday night to reveal the happy news, where he posted a snap of the duo embracing each other as Katherine admired her huge diamond ring.
Another couple ready to tie the knot! Actor Chris Pratt is soon going to be a married man again, for he surprisingly popped the question to his girlfriend, Katherine Schwarzenegger, and she said yes! The couple announced their engagement on social media after only seven months of dating each other.
The actor took to Instagram on Sunday night to reveal the happy news, where he posted a snap of the duo embracing each other as Katherine admired her huge diamond ring. The father-of-one wrote alongside the photo: "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I'm thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!"
The 'Avengers' actor and his author fiance, who is also the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver started dating each other sometime around June 2018. The couple confirmed their romance a month later when they were pictured at church with Chris' son, Jack, who he shares with ex-wife Anna Faris.
Chris and Anna, who tied the knot in July 2009 by eloping to Bali on a whim, split from each other in August 2017 after eight years of marriage. The former couple finalized their divorce just three months ago in October 2018, but the two actors work very hard to make their relationship work for the sake of their young son.
Anna previously said: "Chris and I work really hard 'cause we have Jack, that is sort of the long game idea and making sure Jack is really happy, which makes us really happy. We have sort of the luxury of circumstance. You know, we are both in other loving relationships ... but it is ... it's like how do you not in general sink into a place of bitterness?
She added, "I do want to reiterate though, that I f***ing acknowledge, we all do, everyone acknowledges, that there is bitterness and pain with all breakups and that hopefully makes us all human. But the long game is just the worst being the bigger person. It just is. It f***ing sucks until, then what happens though, is that everyone's happy."
The engagement announcement from the 'Parks and Recreation' star comes on the heels of news that he was on his third of a 21-day faith-based diet called the Daniel Fast. The diet, which is inspired by Old Testament prophet Daniel, puts a restriction on meat and animal products, dairy items, processed foods, and leavened bread.
"It's going to coincide also, coincidentally, with the 'Lego Movie 2' junket. So, by the time you see me, I'll probably be hallucinating. Stay tuned," Chris told his followers about the diet. Few may recall that the actor is one of the celebrities who favor Hillsong Church, also frequented by Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Baldwin.
