DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: As the case of Lindsay Clancy, the 32-year-old Massachusetts mother-of-three who tried to kill herself after strangling her children to death, proceeds through the court, there are minute details coming to the forefront. Almost a month after the children were killed on January 24, children's toys were seen scattered around Lindsay’s backyard.
The photos taken by Fox News Digital show the backyard of the family home that turned into a crime scene filled with slides of different sizes, swings, a trampoline, a toy lawn mower, a plastic imitation of child's roller coaster, among other playing items. This comes amid the outrage of people against the ones who are supporting Lindsay after mental health issues got revealed and Massachusetts lawmaker James O'Day wanting postpartum illness to be a factor in criminal sentencing.

The case of Lindsay Clancy
On January 24, Lindsay's husband Patrick came home to find her lying in the backyard after her alleged suicide attempt and found the three children in the basement with exercise bands wrapped around their necks. Following the killings, during a phone call between the husband and wife, prosecutors said she allegedly confessed, saying she had a "moment of psychosis" after she "heard a man's voice telling her to kill the kids and kill herself because it was her last chance," reports People.
On February 7, Lindsay, a labor and delivery nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, got charged for murdering her five-year-old daughter Cora and three-year-old son Dawson and trying to kill eight-month-old son Callan, who later died at a hospital. The charges include two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of strangulation and suffocation, and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Lindsay was prescribed 13 different psychiatric medications
Kevin J Reddington, Lindsay’s attorney, told that she was prescribed 13 different psychiatric medications between last October and January, including some used to treat anxiety, depression, and insomnia, states Boston.com. The attorney described her as a "zombie" following "overmedication" in the weeks leading up to the killings. He said, "One of the major issues here is the horrific overmedication of drugs that caused homicidal ideation, suicidal ideation. No overdose [by Lindsay]. They [Lindsay and her husband, Patrick] went to doctors repeatedly saying, ‘Please help us.’ This was turning her into a zombie. The medications that were prescribed were over the top, absolutely over the top," reports New York Post.
