Chiefs win Super Bowl LVIII: Trolls told to chill as Travis Kelce's outburst at coach put down to big game passion
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Halfway through the second quarter of Super Bowl LVIII, Travis Kelce vented his displeasure with Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid on the bench. As viewers chastised Travis for his actions, the Internet came together to back him in the spirit of the game.
After Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco lost the ball deep in San Francisco 49ers territory, Travis was spotted approaching Andy and grabbing his arm. Travis was not on the field when the Chiefs lost the ball, and CBS commentator Tony Romo said Travis told Andy that he wanted him to keep him in the game.
Yo Travis Kelce - we don’t care if you are dating Taylor Swift… this isn’t cool. You don’t yell at coach Andy Reid #SuperBowl pic.twitter.com/ani8fZoR2k

Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon had to detain Travis on the sideline. The fumble occurred shortly after the tight end was wide open on a play in which quarterback Patrick Mahomes connected with wide receiver Mecole Hardman for a huge gain.
On X, fans came to support Travis writing, "Y'all are trying WAY too hard to cancel Travis Kelce. Stress causes people to get frustrated and have momentary lash-outs in the heat of the moment. Travis will probably turn right around when the adrenaline stops and apologize to Reid. CHILL. OUT."
While another user chimed in, "Travis Kelce did absolutely nothing lol."

A fourth user wrote, "Ya’ll are truly crazy! Coach Reid and Travis Kelce have a great relationship and know how each other responds. This is not assault - get over yourselves."

This wasn't the Chiefs star's first outburst on the sidelines this season.

Coach Andy Reid says Travis Kelce keeps him 'young' amid Super Bowl LVIII outburst
Andy commented on the event on the CBS broadcast: "He keeps me young. ...He tested that hip out. He caught me off balance. Normally I'd give him a little bit, but I didn't have any feet under me."
Travis approached Andy a few minutes after his outburst and hugged him, according to The Athletic's James Boyd and Amos Morale III. Andy patted him on the back.
