“Everybody in my house will be jumping,” Cher told People in an interview while speaking of a potential win of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. "We'll go jump into the swimming pool. We'll run around, screaming at the top of our lungs." America is on the way of deciding its next president, and Cher is hopeful of the Democrats' victory. “I'll call my mom, I'll call my sister, I'll call all my friends, and we will just be the happiest people that ever lived. It will be the happiest day of my life,” she continued.

Cher has been advocating for women's and LGBTQ rights as long as we can remmeber. Her recent efforts to get people out to vote while on the campaign trail with Democratic presidential nominee is praiseworthy. "Well, Covid-19 and voting are the only things that are important right now," Cher says humbly in the interview. "I just want people to know that in order for them to get back to a normal life — actually, a better life than we had before — I really believe that they've got to vote for Joe, and not just because he's kind, he's gentle and he's compassionate, but because he's smart. As far as I'm concerned, the things he wants to do will really set this country up in a way that I used to remember it."

Being critical of incumbent President Donald Trump, Cher said: "Trump is like Nixon on steroids." "I'm just praying that our people will vote in a quantity that he will not be able to change the vote. He's got a lot of dirty tricksters. You know? They're very creative." Besides speaking at rallies, Cher has been showing her support for Biden on social media. "VOTE!! WE CHANGE (Flag of United States),ONE VOTE AT A TIME!!," she tweeted on the election day. "YOUR VOTE COULD BE THE VOTE THAT CHANGES THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY. NO B.S,THERE HAS 2 BE "THAT ONE LAST VOTE" THAT CHANGES OUR LIVES, OUR CHILDREN,FAMILIES & FRIENDS LIVES. THERE IS "ONE VOTE" THAT CAN CHANGE OUR DESTINY,& ITS "YOURS."

Fans in large numbers reacted to Cher's tweet. One observed that a second term of Trump will be disastrous for the environment as he replied to the ‘Mamma Mia’ singer saying: “...And on top of all those fundamental matters, that vote might also reverse the state of our planet. Another 4 years of Trump would bring the climate change at a point of no return." Cher responded to the comment in agreement, “the (earth emoji)can’t breathe (smoke emoji) through another nano second of trump. BE GONE EVIL ONE.”

Another fan of the singer wrote, “We've got this Cher!! I just know we will win with Biden/Harris and will be beautiful once again.” While another fan wrote, “Not from the USA but u got my full support! I have a family in the state and all of them voted BIDEN!!! #VoteBlue #BidenHarris2020.” “I like that Cher tweets like she sings: in all caps! Keep ‘em flying!,” read one tweet.

With the election results drawing near, Cher admits she's "trying to not feel anything about anything" and is "not going to watch TV" that night. "I'm just putting one foot in front of another, doing what they ask me to do and hoping for the best," she said to People. If Trump gets reelected, Cher said jokingly her first thought will be, "Vancouver is a nice place."
