Channing Tatum steps out for first time since split with Jessie J, as she shares cryptic post
It has been a rough time for actor Channing Tatum. For the first time after his split with Jessie J, he was spotted in public at the airport, a day after Christmas, set to catch a flight from Los Angeles. They had broken up a week ago. He was clad in a white shirt and black jacket with a San Francisco hat.
Channing and Jesse were dating for over a year, just before they called it quits. According to a source who told PEOPLE, the 'timing was off' for the couple, and they "genuinely" tried to make it work.
"He has a lot on his plate right now and wants to be the best dad possible, which means he needs to be around when he isn't traveling for his own work," the source added before saying that their breakup "came at a good time".
A day after he was spotted, Jessie shared a cryptic post on her Instagram story, mentioning "delayed emotions". She wrote, "Delayed emotions are…well…not so fun."
Another insider mentioned that they had different priorities. "Channing and Jessie have different priorities and focuses that don’t really align,” the insider said. “They had a fun relationship, but it just didn’t work out. Channing needs to be in LA a lot so he can spend time with Everly. Jessie prefers England. They are still friendly though."
Rumours about the romance between the two began to brew in October 2018. They made their romance public in March, when they were seen walking hand-in-hand in London.
Earlier this year, Jessie had spoken to The Sunday Times about how being photographed together had put much pressure on them. "Chan and I got photographed before our relationship was even a thing and that created such pressure,” she had said. "We’ve needed time to get to know each other. We’ve just had our first holiday together, which was wonderful, but that’s all I’m saying." She also shared a close bond with Channing's daughter Everly, from his previous marriage with Jenna Dewan.
