Channing Tatum pens heartbroken message after his childhood best friend dies unexpectedly
'Magic Mike' star Channing Tatum is quite devastated about the loss of one of his childhood friends and has paid a lovely, emotional tribute to him after learning of his unexpected death, reports OK magazine. The actor, who recently split from his longtime wife Jenna Dewan, took to his Instagram account to share the dreaded news.
The star posted an old picture of him and his buddy on Instagram, with the sad news that his friend had passed away in an unexpected turn of events. The adorable photograph shows an extremely young Tatum with his friend, as the two boys smiled for the camera in their American football kits.
The duo looked extremely happy and carefree in the picture, as they smile into the lens. “RIP Corey I’ll never forget your crazy a**,” he wrote. “I love you with all my heart. All my prayers to your beautiful family.”
The actor also shared a heartwrenching statement, where he thanked his late friend for sticking up for him when he first moved to America. "My very first best friend Corey Vaughn left this world for the next this Tuesday the 21st. Man, there's so much to say," he wrote.
"I'll never forget his crazy a** and how he stuck up for and protected me when I first moved to Mississippi. He'd a fought anybody. All the laughs and trouble we go in."
Speaking about all the cherished memories that he will carry with him for the rest of his life, Tatum wrote, "I'll never be able to see that smile of his again in this life. And it just made me need to remind everybody don't put off anything. Seeing a friend, or even calling or texting. You never know what's next."
He later added, "Corey would have want us to laugh and raise hell in his wake and have as much joy as anyone can make. He sure did. And I'll forever miss ya man. Love ya, my brother."
