'Celine is in an enormous amount of pain'
The source close to the situation who revealed that Dion might not be able to tour again said, "Celine is in an enormous amount of pain. She has the best medical team money can buy but things aren’t looking good."
"Her disease is incurable. And as hard she’s worked at it with doctors and therapists, she simply isn’t getting better," the source added. After selling off Dion's Las Vegas mansion which is worth $30 million, she is returning back to her native home in Canada. "Celine has 11 brothers and sisters living in Canada. It’s an amazing, loving support system for her during a time of personal crisis," said the source.
On May 26, Dion canceled a planned world tour with 42 European concert dates. "I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%," she captioned her Instagram post. "It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again," the songstress explained at the time and stated that she "can’t wait to see" her fans again.

'Shania wants Celine to know she is not alone'
In December 2022, the 'I'm Alive' singer revealed she has been experiencing medical complications and mainly suffers uncontrollable muscle spasms as she has been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome.
During her times of difficulty, Dion sought support from her close friend Shania Twain. "Celine and Shania have been close for years. They have quietly supported each other and been confidantes for decades," said an insider before adding "Shania wants Celine to know she is not alone." "Because it’s a lonely struggle to go through, especially when you are trying to keep the fight private," the source added.
