10 celebrities who have spoken up in support of Israel after Hamas attack

The Israel-Palestine conflict has long been among the world's most devastatingly complex geo-political situations. A surprise attack by the Palestinian militant group Hamas on Israel on October 7 resulted in the deaths of over 300 people and left thousands wounded. Many Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, have been attacked by hundreds of rockets launched by the Hamas. The ongoing attack has caught global attention and drawn reactions from celebrities as well. Here are some celebrities who have spoken up in support of Israel in the war against Hamas.

Gal Gadot

The 'Wonder Woman' star who has served in the Israeli Army posted her support on social media, writing, "My heart is aching. Praying for all of those in pain." The former Miss Israel also posted the Star of David on Instagram and wrote, "I stand with Israel you should too. The world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening!"

Posting a graphic video on Instagram, the legendary performer wrote, "Conflicts can never be resolved with violence. Unfortunately Humanity does not understand this Universal truth. Has Never Understood it. We live in a World Ravaged by Hate." She added that her "heart goes out to Israel. To Families and Homes that have been destroyed. To children who are lost. To Innocent Victims who have Been Killed."

The 'Black Swan' actress, who was born in Jerusalem as Natalie Hershlag, posted on social media, "My heart was shattered for the people of Israel. Children, women and the elderly have been murdered and abducted from their own homes. I am in horror at the barbaric acts and my heart is pounding with love and prayer for the families of all affected."

Jamie Lee Curtis

The star of the 'Halloween' franchise showed her silent solidarity with Israel. Curtis posted the image of an Israeli flag on her Instagram handle, without any caption.

Mark Hamill

Luke Skywalker came out in support of Israel too. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Hamill put up the image of the United States flag next to the Israeli flag, along with the caption, "America stands with Israel."

Amy Schumer

Comedian Amy Schumer reposted an Instagram post on the attack, adding "Jewish people are the only group not allowed to defend themselves. This has nothing to do with the occupation. Hamas don’t want end to occupation. They want to eradicate Israel. They’re funded by Iran, who are trying to destroy the peace deal."

The comedian expressed her anguish over X, when she posted, "My sister and nieces and nephews are there. They’ve been protesting BIBI for months. Fight for a two state solution. Israelis are Jews and Arabs and all colors. There is so much complexity to this. But make NO MISTAKE Hamas is a terror organization who’s mission statement is kill all Jews. This f****ing world breaks my heart."

The Australian actress shared images of Doron Asher and her daughters, who were reportedly abducted by Hamas in southern Israel, on her Instagram handle. "There is no excuse for the deliberate killing and kidnapping of innocent civilians anytime anywhere ever," she wrote.

The 'New Girl' star wrote of the "unimaginable scene in Israel right now" on social media. "As a Jew, I am with you. As a human being, I am with you," he added.
