2020 saw the world go through a lot. The novel coronavirus brought lives across the globe to a halt for months and the unimaginable horror continues to unfold to date. However, a few celebrities who didn't refuse to allow the pandemic to take over their lives tied the knot with their beloved partners to mark a new beginning. As the year is nearing its end, we have compiled the list of all the stars who entered the new phase of life in 2020. Read on to know about all the celebrities who got hitched this year and their pandemic wedding experiences. 

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost

The ‘Marriage Story’ actress Scarlett Johansson got hitched to the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star Colin Jost on October 24 in an intimate ceremony with the closed ones. They followed the Covid-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC. Johansson and Jost got engaged in May 2019 after two years of dating. 

John Cena and Shay Shariatzadeh

According to the marriage certificate obtained by People, John Cena and girlfriend Shay got married on October 12 in Tampa, Florida, in an attorney’s office. Rumors regarding their relationship started swirling after the duo was spotted indulging in some PDA during their red carpet appearance for ‘Dolittle’. 

Emma Stone and  Dave McCary

Sources revealed in September that Emma Stone and ‘The Saturday Night Live’ segment director Dave McCary had gotten married. The couple announced their engagement in December 2019 after three years of dating. The sources have further revealed that they “got a home together in Malibu.” The couple is yet to confirm the news regarding their wedding.

Zachary Pym Williams, the eldest son of Robin Williams, married his girlfriend Olivia June, surrounded by close friends and family on October 10 at The Paramour Estate in Los Angeles. Announcing the big news Williams tweeted, "I had the great joy of marrying my best friend @oliviajune today! It went awesome and we couldn’t have tied the knot on a better day. #WorldMentalHealthDay”. Meanwhile, June tweeted, “Married my best friend and love of my life today. @zakwilliams you were already stuck with me forever, and now it’s legally so.”



 



 

Pamela Anderson and Jon Peters

Thirty years after ‘A Star is Born’ director Jon Peters proposed to Pamela Anderson, they got hitched on January 20. The marriage which reportedly was never legalized ended in 12 days. Anderson was previously married to Tommy Lee, Kid Rock and Rick Solomon. 

Princess Beatrice and Edo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice and Edo Mapelli Mozzi got married on July 17 after delaying the wedding due to the pandemic. The guests at the wedding included Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip and Prince Andrew. The ceremony was held in the presence of 20 guests at All Saint’s Chapel, a short drive from the castle. 

Raven-Symone and Miranda Pearman-Maday

The ‘That’s So Raven’ fame took fans by surprise by announcing on June 18 that she has secretly tied the knot with Miranda Pearman-Maday. She shared a picture with her wife and captioned it, "I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home." She continued, "I love you Mrs. Pearman-Maday! Let's tear this world a new a-----."

Vanessa Morgan and Michael Kopech

'Riverdale' actress Vanessa Morgan and professional baseball player Michael Kopech got married on January 4. The couple tied the knot in Homestead, Florida. The couple however split within months into the marriage. they filed for divorce in July when Venessa was pregnant with their first child. 

Debby Ryan and Josh Dun

‘Twenty One Pilots’ drummers Debby Ryan and Josh Dun secretly tied the knot on the 2020 New Year’s eve. They told Vogue that they planned the entire ceremony in 28 days.  They kept the news reading their wedding hidden for nearly five months until Dun was potted with a wedding ring on one of his latest videos. 

Fortune Feimster and Jacquelyn Smith

Actor and comedian Fortune Feimster and Jacquelyn had always planned to get married in the summer of 2020. However, due to the pandemic, they had to conduct their nuptials on October 26 in a small ceremony with a few guests. They got engaged in 2018 after two years of dating.

Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters

Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and NFL quarterback Tim Tebow married on January 20 at La Paris Estate in Cape Town in South Africa. The sunset ceremony is said to have included elements from both American and African culture. Nel-Peters told PEOPLE, "We’re both very traditional. We wanted to look back at the wedding and see that it was intimate, elegant, and traditional. We definitely wanted it to be something that we could look back on and know that nothing was dated. We want to remember this day for the rest of our lives." While he wanted “perfect” vows. 

Tyler Filmore and Paige Korte

Country singer Tyler Filmore married his fiancee Paige Korte in a very intimate ceremony in Isle of Palms, South Carolina, on October 20. They made it official in the same place where Korte’s parents got engaged 32 years ago. They said their vows in the presence of close friends and family. The bridesmaids included Taylor Gablehouse, Julia Rogers, Jenna Root and Taylor Morin while Chris Perkins and Drew Filmore served as the best men. 

Courtney Robertson and Humberto Preciado

The former ‘Bachelor’ fame Courtney Robertson and fiancee Humberto Preciado married four months after the birth of their first child Joaquin Ramon on October 16 in an outdoor ceremony. The event was exclusive to family members only. Talking about her partner, Robertso said, “When I met Humberto, it was a no-brainer. I know this is meant to be.” 

“Planning a wedding while expecting a baby was definitely stressful. But we initially had a much bigger wedding and because of Covid-19, we scaled it way back. It feels really good to just have our nearest and dearest with us to celebrate. Sweet and simple!” she added. 

Joel Courtney and Mia Scholink

Joel Courtney, ‘The Kissing Booth’ actor, married his longtime girlfriend Mia Scholink on September 27 in Arizona. He told PEOPLE, ″I am just so thrilled to be married. It’s one of those things where as much planning and as much anticipation goes into the day, I’m so excited to be married to my best friend." Reportedly, they knew each other since they were toddlers, reconnected in 2015 and started sating in 2017. 

Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill

‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ fame Cynthia Bailey married her partner Mike Hill on October 10 in a lavish wedding at the Governors Towne Club in Acworth, Georgia. The wedding was held in the presence of 250 guests including Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore and Eva Marcille. Taling about having them at her wedding, Bailey said, "I couldn't imagine my day without them.”

Fox News correspondent Rick Leventhal married ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ star Kelly Dodd in an “intimate” ceremony on October 10 in Santa Rosa, California. The wedding pictures were shared by the guests on social media and the bride was seen donning a back dress. The new regarding their relationship was first reported in August 2019. Leventhal proposed to Dodd at his apartment in New York City, filled with flowers and champagne. 

Lily Allen and David Harbour

The ‘Stranger Things’ star David Harbour married the ‘Smile’ singer Lily Allen in Las Vegas on September 7. Their wedding was officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator. The celebrity couple was rumored to be dating after they were spotted together at the BAFTA Tea Party together. Even though they never announce their engagement, Lily was seen spotting what looked like an engagement ring in May. 

Alex Pettyfer and Toni Garrn

The ‘Magic Mike’ actor Alex Pettyfer got married to model girlfriend Toni Garrn in Hamburg, Germany, on October 2. They announced the big news to their fans through a series of pictures on Instagram. While Alex shared a picture of the two captioned ‘Mr & Mrs. Pettyfer’, Toni wrote alongside another romantic picture ‘Now you really get to call me wifey.”

Tove Lo and Charlie Twaddle

Swedish singer Tove Lo and Charlie Twaddle got hitched on July 25, according to a story shared by her on Snapchat. She’s seen wearing a white wedding dress. The newly-wed couple is seen posing for the picture with a playful expression. The picture was captioned, “Oops!”.

James Murray and Melyssa Davies

James Murray of ‘Impractical Jokers’ married his finance Melyssa Davies on September 25 in an outdoor ceremony at the Lake House Inn in Pennsylvania. The two tie the knot in the presence of friends, family and the rest of the Jokers Sal Vulcano, Brain Quinn and Joe Gatto. Murray told that Covid-19 restrictions, they had to rework their original plans multiple times and ended up having only a quarter of guests from the list.

The ‘Dynasty’ actor Liz Gillies married music composer Michael Corcoran in an intimate garden ceremony on August 8. She revealed the news to her fans through Instagram by sharing a series of pictures from the wedding. They exchanged vows at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms in New Jersey in the presence of 10 guests.

The ‘Downtown Abbey’ star married her co-actor from ‘Harlots’ Ziggy Heath on September 14, which also happened to be her 31st birthday. She shared a couple of pictures on her personal Instagram handle and captioned it, "♥️wins every time. A weekend of dreams. Small celebrations felt HUGE. And now what a birthday! X I love you. 

Marques Houston and Miya Dickey

Marques Houston and Miya Dickey married in a low-key ceremony on August 24 at the Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, California. Houston told in an interview, “I was so nervous that I was actually shaking, but everything felt perfect when I saw Miya walk down the aisle. I told her I wasn't going to cry, but I couldn't hold it in. I cried like a baby.”

Brittany Snow and Tyler Stanaland

The ‘Pitch Perfect’ star Brittany Snowmarried her fiance Tyler Stanaland on March 14 in Malibu. According to The Knot, they had an intimate outdoor ceremony. The actress had reportedly told PEOPLE in February that she and Stanaland wanted their wedding ceremony to be “low-key and not stuffy”. 

JJ Lane and Kayla Hughes

JJ Lane of ‘The Bachelorette’ married his longtime girlfriend Kayla Hughes on February 29. Among the guests were close family and friends along with ‘Bachelor Nation’ alums Jared Haibon, Tanner Tolbert and Chris Soules. The wedding was conducted at the historic ironworks event in downtown Denver. In conversation with PEOPLE before the wedding, Lane reportedly said, “I’m so ready to marry her. My relationship with Kayla is so real and normal. I’m not nervous. I’m just excited.” His 8-year-old daughter from first marriage Gemma served as the bridesmaid.

The ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ actor Franjie Muniz web Paige Price on February 20. They had been engaged since Thanksgiving 2018. Following the wedding, Muniz told in an interview, "Every single moment of Feb. 21 was perfect. From the moment of waking up together and jumping on the bed hyping each other up, to help our wedding planner with setting things up at the venue, all the way to walking down the isle with my best friend hand in hand with our closest friends and family in attendance. Everything was just so us.”

Jason Carrion and Roxanne Pallett

British opera star Roxanne Pallett and ‘Married at First Sight’ alumnus Jason Carrion got married on February 16 in an intimate ceremony, reported The Sun. They exchanged vows in the presence of 10 closest family members and friends at Lutheran Evangelical Church in New York City. Pallett told the magazine, “To walk down the aisle in such a perfect fairy-tale setting towards my dream man, was the happiest moment of my life. I’m still floating on a cloud.”
