'CBS Mornings' host Gayle King gushes over Barbra Streisand as she announces interview with legendary singer
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'CBS Mornings' anchor Gayle King could not help but gush over Barbra Streisand as she revealed an upcoming interview with the legendary artist.
Streisand, whose long-awaited memoir 'My Name is Barbra' is set to release on November 7, got candid with King in an interview which will premiere on Sunday, November 5.
The CBS host took to her Instagram to share snippets from their meet, creating excitement in her followers for the much-anticipated appearance of the singer and actress.

On her Instagram, Gayle King shared a bunch of photos from the behind-the-scenes of her interview with Barbra Streisand, with the caption, "Lights! Camera! @barbrastreisand! Yep this reallllly happened & later on @cbssundaymorning our conversation about her sure to be a best seller memoir."
The CBS host continued, "She is a legend for real for real & I loved every minute of our chat can’t wait for you to see it!"

King's fans couldn't contain their excitement for the upcoming interview, as one wrote, "I’ll be watching G and B!"
"Gayle my mom played her my entire childhood. I didn’t appreciate her voice and music then but I do now as an adult. Very excited!" commented another.

Barbra Streisand opens up about her childhood on 'CBS Mornings'
In a teaser of the interview, Barbra Streisand was found looking back on her younger self and her relationship with her parents.
"I was angry that I didn't have a father," said Streisand to King and added, "I remember saying to my mother, 'Why didn't you ever tell me about my father?' And she said, 'I didn't want you to miss him.'"

She recalled that her mother seldom showed affection and how she had always felt the lack of it since childhood.
"[My mother] said, 'My mother and father, they never hugged me. But I knew they loved me.' Well, now I said, 'I don't know if you love me'," further expressed Streisand.
