Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones shared a rare photo with father-in-law Kirk Douglas on her Instagram story on September 25 as she celebrated her joint birthday with husband Michael Douglas.
On September 25, Catherine celebrated her 50th birthday and Michael turned 75. The couple marked the occasion by having dinner with Michael's 102-year-old father Kirk. "Last night dinner with Pappy," she captioned the photo.
In the snap, 'The Mask Of Zorro' star had her arm around the Hollywood legend who is best known for starring in movies like 1956's 'Lust For Life' and 1960's 'Spartacus.'
The mother-of-two donned a black dress with red-and-beige embroidery for the dinner and let her hair down. She completed the look with a large diamond earring, which matched her tennis bracelet and an engagement ring from her husband.
Kirk, on the other hand, was dressed in a light grey top and dark slacks as he sat in a beige and a rust-colored paisley chair.
She also shared an image with wedding planner Charley Izabella King, who has been her friend for 34 years. The blonde wore a white lace outfit with her hair down. Since Kirk has largely disappeared from the public eye, the photo gave his fans much to cherish.
Michael also took to Instagram to celebrate the birthdays by sharing two photos - one from their wedding ceremony, which showed the pair sharing a laugh and the second one a selfie from a golf course.
"Happy Birthday my darling! I love you so much and I cannot wait to celebrate our special day together!" the 'Fatal Attraction' actor captioned the first picture, while above the next one, he wrote, "Golfing with my ❤️ on the big birthday!"
Earlier in September, the actor posted a black and white photo from his youth where he sat in a bathing robe beside his father, Kirk. He captioned the photo, "Pictured with Dad on set of my first feature film ‘Hail Hero’ in 1969! Wow!"
