Carrie Underwood may undergo surgery to fix facial scar two years after accident: 'She's extremely self-conscious about her looks'

Carrie Underwood might undergo more plastic surgery in the future to get rid of a facial scar, which was a result of a nasty fall that she experienced outside her Nashville area home in November 2017.
The tumble, which was described as a "freak accident", left the country music star with a broken wrist and she needed at least 40 stitches. Post-treatment, the 'Cry Pretty' songstress, 35, had a scar on the side of her face that ran from her nose to her lip.
"She has a gash from her nostril to her lip, and no amount of makeup or filler will hide it. So she's braving another trip to the plastic surgeon. [Carrie] is extremely self-conscious about her looks and demands photo approval and retouching on her promotional stuff, and Vaseline on the lens for TV performances," a source told Star magazine, Celebrity Insider reported.

Although she managed to cover up the scar with the magic of make-up so that fans were hardly able to see it in her public appearance photos, videos or performances, Carrie remained self-conscious of the mark — something that she even addressed on social media in October 2018. She posted a selfie where she was covered in multicolored makeup, which was taken during the filming of her music video for 'Love Wins', which was released on September 11.
In the close-up, her scar was very apparent to her fans, although most of them told her that she looked beautiful despite the mark.
Carrie, on the other hand, made it clear to her fans that she was not okay with the scar as she was "not quite looking the same" and that it took her time to slowly reveal her face again on social media. According to her, the scar was a painful reminder of the event, which was taxing for her both physically and emotionally.
