Caroline Flack funeral: Boyfriend Lewis Burton to attend as friends pay loving tribute to 'Love Island' host
Former 'Love Island' host Caroline Flack, who was found dead on February 15 at her north London home, will be laid to rest in a private ceremony on Tuesday, March 10.
The ceremony will be attended by her close friends and family, with the media being banned from the funeral. Although the exact guest list is not known, it is being speculated that her boyfriend Lewis Burton is going to attend, according to Mirror.
MEAWW previously reported that the day before Flack killed herself, she had found out that a case against her for allegedly assaulting Burton was going ahead for trial in March. After she was found on the floor of her home, the coroner ruled her provisional cause of death as hanging.
A full inquest into the circumstances surrounding her death will be held in August. Flack had been prohibited by the court from having any form of contact with Lewis following the night of her arrest in December last year, as part of her bail conditions. Although her legal team had begged the judge to lift the ban as the lovers wished to be reunited over Christmas, their appeal was rejected.
A number fo Caroline's friends paid touching tributes to her ahead of the funeral.
Singer Stacey Solomon posted on Instagram: "Today it doesn't feel right to be on social media. So from me and the boys, we hope you have a good day. Hold your loved ones close, give them all of the cuddles you have in you and let them know how much you need them in your life. You never know when they really might need to know. Love you all. If you're struggling with today, yesterday, the thought of tomorrow, please let someone know. Anyone."
While Stacey didn't confirm the exact reason for the heartbreaking message, it is being presumed the expression was for Flack's funeral, which is taking place on Tuesday.
Caroline's Love Island successor Laura Whitmore admitted that she first thought rumors of Caroline's death circulating online were "fake news."
"I found out about Caroline on the Saturday and I found out in a way I wish I didn't," she said during the Kate Thornton's White Wine Question Time podcast. "It was something on Twitter that someone had tweeted initially that I disregarded because there's always so much stuff. "There are so many things that would be said about Caroline that you wouldn't take everything as truth, so I kind of ignored it."
