Cardi B recently posted an appreciable tweet where she innocently asked fans what is the meaning of 4K. Keeping in mind the massive trolling stars of her stature often have to endure on social media, the rapper implored her fans not to make fun of her for her lack of knowledge about such a common concept.

While fans praised her innocence and courage to not be embarrassed about not knowing something, trolls had a field day slamming the singer for the same.

What did Cardi B tweet?

Rapper and singer-songwriter Cardi B is quite active on social media and well-known for her indifferent attitude towards trolls, often giving fitting replies to their jibes. For instance, last week she posted an Instagram Live in a no-makeup look where she spoke about being confident in one's own skin. She posted this in response to critics who said she looked "weird" without makeup. 

On February 18, she tweeted to ask about the meaning of 4K. She added a disclaimer to the tweet telling her trolls not to make fun or else she would have a "very depressing lonely night". "Please don’t make fun of me guys or I will have a very depressing lonely night but what does 4K means ?" Cardi B posted on Twitter. 

The tweet did not take long to be viral, crossing the mark of 34K likes as fans poured in their honest comments. 

Fans call her 'ignorant' but appreciate gesture

There was a flurry of mixed responses from users on Cardi B's tweet. One fan copied the explanation directly from Google to help her out. "4K is the abbreviation corresponding to the 4096x2160 resolution. It’s always based on the number of horizontal pixels hence 4K (4,000 pixels rounded down). You might see 3840x2160 referred to as 4K or UHD. One has the 1.9:1 aspect ratio and the other one is 16:9."

But there was no dearth of trolls as well. "Ayo this mf don’t know what 4K means," tweeted one. This user ended up being trolled for giving the wrong explanation. "I used to think if you live in United States English comes automatically. Anyway. 4k is four thousand. You're welcome i know you won't reply me."

One user took the joke too far. "It is like a security camera that catches ur man cheating on you but the footage quality is so good that you can see even the dimples on his face, so u can get him done." Another user explained the colloquial meaning: "Caught in 4K means caught red handed." Another wrote, "Video quality or 4 thousand dollars that you were gonna loan me.. whichever you prefer."

There were positivity and appreciation as well. "ANYONE who makes fun of you, doesn’t understand the difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance, is not knowing, and trying to learn. Stupidity is not knowing, and choosing NOT to learn. I’d much rather be ignorant." - tweeted a fan in her support.

Another said, "It's the resolution of the image. That's how good the quality is. 380 is bad, 4k is really good. It's just about the pixels. Only smart people know how to ask questions and learn. No one should laugh at you for being smart."
